Reports saying most if not all those connected to biogenesis will accept the 50 game suspension except for ARod. Lol

He's such a douche. Hope he gets a lifetime ban.

He probably just figures hes done anyways, and refuses to admit to anything. Between this and Pujols looking like hes 50 years old, it looks like 762 is going to stand for a really long time.

Im all for the asterisks, as long as its across the board.

Put them on every pitcher who ever doctored a ball, and every player who used greenies, caffeine pills, cocaine, etc.

Players who played in the era before blacks, hispanics, and asians were allowed to play. Plus theres the pitchers who used to throw off a higher mound.

What about the Babe Ruth era, where he was facing 20 year olds who got off their factory job to come pitch both ends of a double header?

What about the guys from the era when ground rule doubles used to be counted as HR?

Even just the fact that Hank Aaron played his entire career in bandbox home stadiums, and Willie Mays played his in pitchers parks. Baseball itself isnt fair, or on a level playing field.

Unless baseball can provide actual proof of who used PED's and who didnt, and from what years, theres no way they can responsibly put asterisks on anything.

Im not so naive that I wont admit that Bonds was using PED's, but everyone acts like he was one of only 5-7 players who did so. Baseball was fine with PED's restoring the game from the 1994 strike, but then turned around and shunned all the guys who were involved after the fans got upset about it. Bunch of hypocrites.

The funny thing is, Bonds never once tested positive for any banned substance. What he was taking was performance enhancing, but baseball didnt see it fit to ban at the time, so technically he never did anything against the rules. He's only a villain now because the media is paying him back for being a douche to them for 20+ years.

cue valrod to respond with "STEROIDS".

Amen, all or nothing. Can't pick and choose to villify certain dudes because of how they treated the media. f**k them for all of a sudden having a conscience now.

The Hall Of Fame process is taking care of this so in a way have to let go of asterisking records, accomplishments, and abuse towards the media.
Now who here has read the "Game Of Shadows" and the Canseco books?
at Curt Schilling saying he thinks the HR record is 61.

TRADE DEADLINE DAY

The day has finally arrived: Trade Deadline. There already have been a number of trades made, even before the All-Star break. Rumors still abound of what significant name(s)will be dealt. One thing for sure is that the player will either stay with the club beyond this season, or be labeled as a "rental player".

August can still produce trades but has to be via waivers. So the dealing wont be over after today.

So hope for the very best for your team that they get the player that will help them get to the postseason. For some, the future.

PRELIMINARY: Michael Young agrees to a deal to the Red Sox.
