There are much worse names in professional sports... people just aren't used to "Pelicans" yet. The jerseys look good, similar to the Atlanta Hawks it seems.

I like the color scheme. The name is going to take some time to get used to. I wonder what Louisiana residents think of the name.

The owner wanted to change the name to something relevant to the city & state... Also whenever the change happens expect Charlotte to become the Hornets again (as Jordan says). I like the name.
