David Freese time running out in St.Louis?

"Cardinals third baseman David
Freese told Derrick Goold of the St. Louis
Post-Dispatch he is aware he could become
a payroll casualty because of the young and
inexpensive infield talent the club has.
Freese is arbitration eligible once again this
winter and isn't eligible for free agency until
after the 2015 season."

Kolten Wong will eventually take over at 2B and Carpenter moves to his normal position (3B)

Matt Adams is a much intriguing situation.

Eh, maybe. He is a BIG man to be playing over at 3B. Would be nice to have his bat in the lineup every day though.

After this year maybe they will move Craig back to the OF and make Adams their everyday 1B. Doesnt Betran's contract expire after this year? Put Taveras in CF, Craig in RF, and Adams at 1b.

This is what I think will happen. Although Beltran is still playing great ball. Jay will come off the bench.

Carpenter 3B
Taveras CF
Holliday LF
Craig RF
Molina C
Adams 1B
Wong 2B
Kozma SS
P

If I had to guess...for next season

Matt Holliday taken out of the field and more importantly moved to 5th in the lineup..he needs to get his bat going. Now is the time for our offense to get back on track too. Adams will be playing every day

Although it was just the Astros, the offense woke up. This kinda series is what wakes an offense back up though..

W 48-29
Freaking Pirates are only 1 game back now. When was the last time the NL Central was the best in baseball...well, we still have the Cubs and Brewers...and the Cubs...oh wait, mentioned them already

I've always liked the Cards organization but after reading the SI article on em, I have a lot more respect for em.

I'm still bitter about the Adam Wainwright trade but I respect em lots.
