Super teams that failed to win an NBA title

Barkley played in Houston from 1996-2000, They last won an NBA title in 1995.

Olajuwon and Clyde were both 34, and Chuck was 33. All on the decline. I'd hardly call that a super team. Same with the 03-04 Lakers with a 35 year old Payton and 40 year old Malone.
Melo, Amare, Lin

LOL

2000Trailblazers (another team robbed by the refs in favor of the Lakers)

Greg Anthony
Stacey Augmon
Brian Grant
Jermaine O'Neal
Sottie Pippen
Arvydas Sabonis
Detlef Schrempf
Steve Smith
Damon Stoudamire
Rasheed Wallace
Bonzi Wells

how in the world did I miss this? The Blazers choked away Game 7 and it was pretty evident that Sabonis was a joke of a matchup for Shaq

Here we go.

Free throw attempts:
Portland: 16
Lakers: 37

A team that had a 15 point lead would need to foul that much?

I don't see how having 4 of the Top 50 (Not sure about Payton) players of all-time wouldn't be considered a super team.

It doesn't count when they are that old and no longer playing like a top 50 ever.

The Lakers averaged 32 FTA throughout those playoffs And Portland didn't have anybody that ocould get to the line like Shaq or Kobe. They choked just like the 2002 Kings plain and simple.

Yet you include a team with Scottie Pippen on it as a Trailblazer

I was gonna say that about Barkley, Olajuwon and Drexler. I don't consider them a Super Team either. I meant to say they weren't together during either of the Rockets 2 titles, 93-94 and 94-95 seasons.

No neither of those teams had the ability to contain Shaq which is why they lost to the Lakers every year

This is a silly thread because the concept of a super team is totally subjective.
