Kickham optioned back down to AAA. Purchased the contract of Ramon Ramirez.

Was not impressed with Kickham but I would have given him one more shot. The Giants are in trouble.

After a really cold start, Angel Villalona is catching fire. In his last 9 games, he's hitting .335 with 4 HRs (all in the last 4 games), 9 RBIs and a 1.000 OPS against only 6 strikeouts (38 ABs). His 12 HRs put him 3rd in the Cal League and only 5 off his career high of 17 (2008) with 4 full months left in the season.

Great to see. Villalona is the only potential stud in the system right now among position players.

Villalona would be 2 years away probably. Gary Brown dominated in A ball too.

If only he had a little plate discipline.

I'm most impressed with Joe Panik. He's showed good plate discipline at every level.

Probably closer to 3/4 years away, IMO.

2013 - Age 22, High A San Jose
2014 - Age 23, AA Richmond
2015 - Age 24, AAA Fresno/SF (Sept. call up, if all goes right)
2016 - Age 25, SF - challenge for a starting role

I actually meant to put at least 2 years. In other words, it is not around the corner. I think your time frame is accurate.

Come the f**k on with the errors. Marco shouldn't have gone out that far to begin with and Pence should have called him off.
And then he promptly grounds into a double play.
