Patrick Willis is as far on his way to being a HOF as you can be after 3 seasons in the NFL. 3 years, 3 pro bowls, 3 All-Pro selections >>> 1 great rookie season.
this thread was a good study on the fickleness of fans, and just how much its all about "what have you done for me lately". Willis has started a little slow, Posey and Lincecum won the WS, and all the sudden Willis cant hold a candle to them after being King of the Webzone since 2007?
as individual performers, its still very close. Lincecum has more hardware, but imo being named All-Pro your first 3 seasons in the NFL is just as hard as winning the CY in your first 3 seasons (which Lincecum isnt going to do).
I beg to differ on this one. To be All-pro at LB, there are 3-4 spots for it every year. Whereas the Cy Young Award only has two spots per year. Therefore, the Cy Young Award is MUCH harder than being All-pro.
Just my two cents.
Obviously winning the CY award in your first two full time seasons is MUCH harder than being AP at a LB spot 3 times . Not even close.
Dude. Just ignore anything Niner99 says. LOL Had to borrow that line from Crzy.
get outta my thread john. its for 60 and under.
If it is for someone who has any clue then you should remove yourself. This comment was one of your dumbest among the thousands you have posted.
do you know what a real All-Pro 1st team selection is? its when you get the AP, PFWA, and TSN all-pro selections. that universally means you are voted the very BEST at your position in the NFL. not one of, THE best. Willis got the AP, PFWA, and TSN all-pro selection for MLB in 2007 and 2009.
winning the CY award means you were the best pitcher in your LEAGUE. so how on earth is getting selected twice at the BEST of your position in the ENTIRE NFL, not just conference, not as good?
