IT'S GONNA HAPPEN!!!

Bob Arum and Manny's team will be equally at fault if it don't go down.

Bob Arum doesn't like Senior or Junior Duckweather. So if negotiations don't go smooth... expect Arum to disassociate himself with this. Pac's camp will do what it takes... but Ducky's will do what it takes to protect that Fabricated Record.

I doubt Arum's gonna step aside... ESPECIALLY for this fight. He makes 27% of Manny's purse. Waaaaaaaaay too much money to pass up for anybody involved.

TRue. And with Manny getting bigger and bigger with every fight, it is a big FU to Delahoya. Arum is stil hurt over the Delahoya thing. If this fight happens and it is bigger than Delahoya vs. Pacquiao, Arum will rub it in DLH's face.

LOL, the funny thing is that De La Hoya is the guy that gave both Manny and Mayweather that final push towards superstardom.

Pretty much he has been a stepping stone for todays super star fighters in his last years in boxing.

As a very long time boxing fan, I'd take Manny in a decision.
As a longtime boxing fan I know Floyd don't lose decisions he's the most technically sound boxer...of all time! While making a show out of it! I say Floyd in a decision or by knockout...only way I can see PAC-man winning is by knockout...but he'd have to catch Floyd first and I don't see that happening! So my prediction is Floyd wit the victory prolly by decision

Floyd was awesome but the fact that he hasnt fought a meaningful fight for 10 years tells me he's lazy or scared. he's been fighting people under his weight class and older fighters who are washed up. i think he's a hell of a fighter, very technical and smart in the ring but i think Manny would win. he's a lot faster than floyd and he can get inside very easily. he's a smart fighter with deadly speed. it would definitely be a throwback kind of fight to the days when boxing was exciting

zab judah is the only dude that really comes to mind (meaningful fight)..

i know there's going to be a lot of politicin' involved before this fight happens.. i just want to see it happen soon.. and i hope i can make it to vegas when it does go down =D
I hope it's in Vegas if it does go down... I read talks of this fight needing a bigger venue like a football or basketball stadium.

Yup, I heard Yankees, Giants and Dallas stadium have already expressed interest to host the fight.

With that big ass screen, it would be something else over in Dallas.

that is insane. Would people really be ok with being that far away from the ring?

NY ain't gonna happen according to Arum. Taxes in NY are an arm and a leg.

That's true. I wouldn't pay to go watch it from that far away.

I would pay to get into cowboy stadium and watch the PPV on the jumbotrons though. maybe like $15-20 bucks max though.

I would be right there with ya
It's definitely not going to be in NY because of the crazy state, city, AND county taxes there. They tax EVERYTHING, possibly getting $15-$20 million of the purse.

Tejas is more tax friendly, and they'd be able to fit a bookoo amount of people at Dallas Stadium. I would pay to watch from the bathroom there.

Silky, where'd you read/hear that Arum gets 27%?

There's a boxing site I frequent regularly. I don't have a link to exactly where I saw that number. Could have been one of their articles, or maybe a thread on their forums. But that number always stuck in my head though. Too many articles and threads to peruse.
Cowboy stadium would be interesting, but Jerry would have to shovel out a lot of money for them to contemplate heading out to Arlington, where there's pretty much nothing to do.

Vegas makes the most sense and the outdoor stadium Wynn is proposing with the other casinos will most likely be the best option.

Either way, a lot of ppl will go (almost the entire country of the phillipines and Daly City will flock wherever to watch their future president) to wherever it's placed b/c it will be the greatest fight of the decade and quite possibly bring boxing back to it's former glory.
