link? id love to have hedo back but the only bad part is we already have 4 or 5 SFs so someone has to be traded. then hopefully we can trade kenny's exp for a legit big man and then we can be legit again.
Hedo is an interesting proposition. I wouldn't say no to Hedo, but I kinda feel like that money could be better spent/saved. Then again, how many players of Hedo's caliber do we actually have a shot to sign? Hedo might be looking for a playoff team, but I know he still loves Sac and the fans of Sac still love him. There is a connection and maybe a big money offer would get the job done.
Like WtW said, we'd probably have to find a new home for someone like Nocioni.
My more realistic offseason is making a run at someone like Nate Robinson or David Lee/Paul Millsap. Or just staying conservative, adding a scorer for the bench (Flip Murray) and a big man for the rotation (Chris Mihm, Rasho Nesterovic), and letting some young guys get more run.
Right now:
PG - Evans, Udrih, Rodriguez
SG - Martin, Garcia
SF - Nocioni, Casspi
PF - Thompson, Greene, K.Thomas
C - Hawes, Brockman
As much as I'd love Hedo back in Sac, I don't see it. Wants too much money and is wants to win soon..Just not happening with the Kings.
The Kings need a back up Center pretty bad. I don't know who its gonna be but all this offseason talk about toughness will be for naught if they don't get a defensive minded big who is worthy of rotation minutes. I like Brockman's style but I think he'll be too overmatched in the NBA to be able to make up for it with heart and hustle. We'll probably stay cheap. How much will that project that Utah was working on (Fesenko?) cost?

I know. It's been a little boring since the draft. Not sure what the plans are...NY Post said we've talked to Stephon Marbury. haha. I don't buy that. Haven't heard us mentioned with any of the bigger names.
It'll be interesting to see what happens at the 1. I'd be more inclined to just throw Evans into the fire. A way to help him might be to start Garcia at SF over Nocioni so he can share the ball handling duties with Evans. Either way, I'd rather run Evans with Martin, Thompson, and Hawes and see what we've got.
Summer league plays starts this week. Evans, Thompson, Hawes, Brockman, Greene, and Casspi will all be playing. I think Evans can earn the starting spot with a strong showing here and at training camp.
I don't think we are going to add anything significant, like a Hedo. I think we are going to stand pat and let the youngins play and then try and splash next year. Kenny Thomas is an expiring this year so that's great news.

"I think the resurrection of our franchise started today." - Coach Pete Carril
"just finish our first practice. white team killed. jtthekid (Jason Thompson), reek (Tyreke Evans), brock (Jon Brockman), tools (Ryan Toolson), and j mc (Jerel McNeal). we lookin good. cant wait til fr." - Donte Greene
And Tyreke Evans signed his rookie deal. Sounds like a good first day.
I think all the Summer leagues games are shown on the NBA's website somewhere, but I'm not sure.
Interesting that Hawes isn't playing. Not that he needs to or anything, I just figured he would. I'm anxious to see who the Kings get to fill out their bench behind Spencer and JT. Any ideas?

ya they are but im posting on my phone because i dont have any internet to my pc right now but i might again pretty soon hopefully.
and yea i thought spence was going to play. wonder why he backed out.
Spencer is going to play, he's just not with the team for practices yet. Supposed to join the team for Friday's game. Casspi is waiting on some sort of approval from FIBA before he can start practicing but he's there. Everyone else is playing...
I guess Evans had a few gems in the 2nd practice on Wednesday.
my roommate is a kings fan and i won 20 bucks off of him, cuz he thought the lakers would lose the finals
At the beginning of the season i bet him that the laker would win the finals, if not he wins the bet. He had like a 95% chance of winning, , but of course the lakers won. anyhoo, i is bored and i wanted to share that with u guys. hopefully u can win the 8th seed in the west so we can kick ur ass

The Casspi thing was supposedly worked out today so thats good news. I understood that Spencer wasn't playing at all. Guess its good that he is. I didn't really care one way or the other, but Petrie didn't seem too happy that he wasn't.
This Bryant guy from Santa Clara on the SL team looks huge. Anyone down in that area seen much of him? I saw a couple highlight clips where he showed a nice up and under move. Thats pretty much all they showed so beyond that I haven't seen much.
