Wilder didn't have the stamina to carry all that weight. Then you got huge as Fury leaning on him and wearing him down.

Wilder trained and fought the only way he knew how... to win before Fury took over. He expends so much energy and Fury just wears you down late where you end up falling over. I don't think he could ever change cause he's been way to reliant on his 1-2 but if he made more subtle adjustments (like more uppercuts inside) he'd have more ways to stop fights.
Fury fought like I thought he would and deserves all the credit for getting off the canvas twice, maybe we are that much closer to an undisputed.
Shame, I would have preferred to see Wilder vs Joshua before their stocks took a nosedive.

Has anybody gone back and counted how long Fury was on the mat? The announcers kept saying it was a very slow count, but never revisited the topic.

I think he got up at what would be 7 on a normal count

it was a pretty slow count, but 1) Fury wasn't out 2) the rule is if the fighter who scores the knockdown leaves the neutral corner, the ref will stop the count then tell said fighter to go back to a neutral corner then resume counting
