Nope, right here, just been off the board & social media for a bit, gonna update the first post, 49ers have, after the Lenoir deal, according to my numbers, $52,625,730 in cap room right now, includes all of the latest roster moves, team has about $3M in projected 2025 cap room before carryover and/or adjustments/credits, which should be $48M-$50M in carryover, & $3.5M in credits, will depend on what the cap for 2025 comes in at.

Well that's a positive. Can they restructure Hargrave again or you think they cut him? There a couple guys that will most likely get cut (I.e. Floyd) and I'd be inclined to cut Deebo and save that 5mil. would like to see greenlaw brought back and I think/hope they can possibly get Huff back on a cheap 1 year prove it deal. Outside of those 2 the rest of the guys can walk, maybe Ya-Sin back for depth and/or competition for the 3rd CB.

I think the interior DL can be upgraded without Hargrave and I'd take June 1 cap savings for him so we can carryover into 2026.

I don't think Ya Sin is good even though we saw him make one play in limited action. I have had the problem of overprojecting with players like that in the past, but, if it is just for depth, it might not be a bad idea.

I definitely think Greenlaw is more important to us than Deebo, Floyd, and Hargrave, and I'd prioritize any money towards him IF he can show he's still capable after the injury. Feel like a Dre not 100% is still better than every other guy out there.

Agree, and while I like the push he gets from interior but he's not a game wrecker and that , 22mil in cap savings would go a long way. And if they are going to splurge on someone in FA, hope it's on a C like Kelly or dalman

They can redo Hargrave again, but it just adds more dead money to 2027 when his deal would void.

I doubt Deebo is cut, his option bonus he has next year is GTD, he'd need to be traded before it's due to save any money, after that they only save a few million post June 1.

Floyd has no GTD money in 2025, so he can be cut to save some cap room, if they deem that is what they want to do, not sure they do though.

I can see Ya-Sin back on a similar 1yr deal he signed this year, same with guys like Saubert & Bartch.

Only issue with a Post June 1 cut/designation is they don't get the money till June 2nd, but they can still use 2025 cap room to sign someone IOL wise, then carryover the $20M+ into 2026, which I think is what they'd do if they let go of him.

Welcome back... again

Been an up and down year both 49ers wise and personally, lost my Dog in June, had surgery for carpal tunnel in both hands, June & July, finally fully back & healthy, thankfully.
I hope they dump some of these players with fat overpriced contracts asap because the sooner they do that the sooner we can rebuild an get back into contention. its gonna be hard to say goodbye to 49er classics like juice or kittle or deebo or Trent. but it has to be done.

They need to figure out how to get out from under Aiyuk's bad deal as well as Hargraves too and get the Cap number down on Bosa.

true. thats why the more they do(get out of) now an by the end of the 2025 season, the sooner we can come back in 2026. they are overpaid right now but deebo an aiyuk are still very capable, teams would be interested in them. maybe we just need to eat some of their cost if that's even possible within the rules.

None of this is happening, they're not gonna move on from Deebo, Aiyuk or Bosa, Hargrave maybe, post June 1 cut, saves $20M, carryover into 2026, but people need to stop freaking out about the teams window, it's nowhere near closed, both Deebo & Aiyuk have a lot left in them, Nick too, this teams needs to change some things, get a new ST Coordinator, I just think this has been a bad season, 2020 like, too many injuries, injuries that couldn't be avoided, or could have happened at any moment, you can't blame a holdout on injuries, dudes can walk the wrong way at home & get hurt badly, hell I've done it, and I'm nowhere near in the shape these guys are in, I'm no athlete, people need to also calm down about the cap, there's no issues that I see, people are blowing this out of proportion, but that's my opinion, other teams fans who think we're going back to the doom & gloom years are WRONG, we won't be cutting high priced players anytime soon, again my opinion, but I've said these things for years, been right more times than I was wrong.
hey AB81... what about some of the smaller names as post June 1 cuts?

Specifically Floyd, Collins, Elliott, Gross-Matos and Brendel.

doesn't seem like they would create too much dead money

Why would we cut most of those players though? Floyd has 6.5 sacks, Collins & Elliott have played well, Gross-Matos is young, Brendel I agree with, but they don't need the cap room, best to run it back 1 more year, everyone going doom & gloom, wanting to overhaul are nuts, we really want to go back to pre 2017 when we had Chip Kelly, Jim Tomsula as the HC? Or Baalke as GM? A guy who never spent, and now Jags fans want him gone.

Do we really want another relationship like we had with Harbaugh & Baalke, I hear people online(X/Twitter) saying Harbaugh would win a title with this roster, 49ers fans saying this s**t, yet he had as good, if not better roster, especially defensively, and couldn't get the job done either, refused to give Gore the ball on our last drive, never had a designed Kap run, 4 throws I think it was, no creativity, kept that tool Roman as OC, oh and let's not forget the stars who retired in 2014, Willis, J.Smith, also not like Baalke could draft any better than Lynch did, look at his 2012 draft, none of those picks made any f**king sense, I'm so sick of hearing people b***h, moan, and complain about Lynch when he's built a contender, 2024 isn't our year, big deal, you just need to retool, bring in a new DC & ST Coordinator, this is 2020 all over again, injury after injury after injury, those saying Brock has regressed & is injury prone, news flash everyone is f**king injury prone, our bodies were never meant to take this kind of punishment.

Sick of all of this nonsense on here, and X/Twitter, once something goes wrong, the usual reaction is to FIRE FIRE FIRE, I swear I now know why they call us the Forty Whiners.

well first of all, I'm not one of the ones who wants to fire everyone - and I agree that a lot of the fanbase is overreacting

second, I was only asking a hypothetical question ("what would happen if we cut any of the five I listed?") - and really what I was asking is: if we can trust the OTC cap calculator?

third, I disagree with your assessment on the play of Collins, Elliott, Floyd and YGM - none of them have over a 60 PFF score. And I know PFF is flawed, but those four aren't really passing the eye test either. I think if we're going to get back to where we should be on DEF, then we're gonna have to rebuild the DL first and foremost.

fourth, it's not that crazy to overhaul the DL, since we've pretty much re-done it every off-season this decade so far

My understanding is that we will have the most cap room heading into next season.

Why do we keep hearing we can't sign Greenlaw? Will Purdy's deal eat up all of our cap space?

i haven't heard in here, that we can't

No, the Purdy deal won't take up all of our cap room, most likely between $12M-$14M will be required for his extension, based on the signing bonus he gets.

Team won't have the most, they'll likely be 10th or inside the top 10 Pats will have most, but no reason why we can't keep Dre, and Hufanga around, Mooney & Banks likely exit IMO.
