I just don't get it - what the heck do the coaches see?? I'm going to have to look at the all 22.
Against the Cards - Hodge took 30 snaps at WR vs. the Arizona Cardinals. Cowing had 17 and Watkins had just 15.
So they elevate Cooks and cut Hodge? Then why play him so much more than Cowing and Watkins -- and Hodge played vs Miami, and Watkins was inactive?? Maybe he stepped into the Evan's X role?

The report says he has a knee injury and KNBR says an injury settlement. I don't think they're allowed to fake that.

Correct. Hodge was injured and wasn't going to be a factor anytime soon.

Turner is an annual event which highlights our GM's failures. Has been who never was.

It's actually simple and common sense. Hodge was a special teams ace.

Yes, and by cutting him, they can bring him back once he's healthy without having to either waste a roster spot or put him on IR.

How many times has turner been signed by the 49ers? What has he contributed? Rather simple. We keep bringing him back… and he does nothing to help us win. We signed him 3 separate times. Why?

He's a special teams guy who can fill in on a pinch. Have a little perspective.

Ohh he is a special teams guy worth bringing in ok, that's great… we need guys who can actually contribute. Not sure if you noticed but we are missing a few guys who actually play.. AND.. Evans has fractured ribs he will not be playing and if he does he won't be himself. Who are we left with? Deebo, Pettis, cooks, cowing, Watkins and Mr. Special teams Turner. Don't you think that roster spot would be better filled by someone that can contribute ? super special teamers are great when you can afford a roster spot… we can't.. not with the injuries we have and will probably rack up this week. If turner is so good why are we the only ones who keep signing the guy…? To me it's just the same response to the same problem and I and getting fed up with wasted opportunities. Brock is playing mvp level football and his professional grade tools are being taken away and replaced by harbor freight clearance items.. it's frustrating.

Dude makes 1/3 the tackles on kick coverage, but doesnt contribute. Has more snaps than than all non starters( minus Farrell) but we need someone who actually plays.
We are not the only team, he is a 9 year vet with a pro bowl.

And bad teams don't sign guys like him, they fill the spot with a young guy(who dives into the endzone #87 Bears)
Or the team ignores special teams. The Rams lost to the Broncos largely because of it. The 2010 Chargers.

A winning team has to have 3-5 guys who focus on special teams.

And besides, who is available out there that you would get. What starter quality player will sign to be inactive on Sundays until there are injuries at league minimum.

Turner does all that? Are you sure it isn't something like, 4 stints spanning 2022-2026, 6 games played, no offensive production and 5 total tackles? Put that in perspective…
