One random guy ran away with this story on the internet last year and everybody believed it. Despite no evidence, no scientific data, no experts in the field saying it was true. Just a post and you saw it on the internet. So it must be true. From there it took a life of it's own. The media and talk shows need stories. They have fill up an hour. So in the offseason and training camp they need filler. This gave it even bigger life. Round and round we go. This is ridiculous at this point. We don't have a power station problem. Listen to the video from the doctor I posted early on in here. This is stupid. We pick injured players and further our players are not much more injured than the NFL average. Despite the belief.

At this point it doesn't matter if its true or not, it has taken on a life of its own and more than a few of the athletes have brought it up as something they're concerned about. If it becomes an issue where it may affect the team's competitiveness to where free agents are wary of signing with the team or resigning with team then its something that you will have to address.

There's no way to address it anytime quickly. It would take a few years minimum to build and move to new facilities, and it's not like they can petition the city to move the substation. So what will most likely happen is it'll play itself out and the media will just get bored with the story and stop speculating about it.

Sure, but again, they aren't going to go rent some lesser facility for a few years even if they start building a new one tomorrow.

And it's not like there won't be power/electricity near a new facility. I mean,, maybe if they build it in the middle of Nevada using an elaborate water pulley system.

in 2010, the cost estimate to move the substation away from the practice field was around 20 million. Obviously much more now. If I'm Jed I'd just pay to have it moved and be rid of this distraction forever. Even at 50 million, that's not too much for the Yorks. That's like a Nate Clements

Jed just needs to move the facility. I know, easier said than done but this isnt going away. Every single injury that happens from now until they move, that substation is going to stay relevant.

It's important to keep pushing the substation narrative. Not because it's true, but because it reinforces the malpractice committed by the organization.

What has happened with injuries over the last 13 years has never been seen before in the NFL. It has been declared mathematically improbable by the stat nerds. That means the excuse of - "This is just the way football goes sometimes" given by Lynch, is not true and should not be tolerated as a response.

They must be confronted with 3 causations.

1. it's either the substation - not true
2. They are drafting high injury prone players and ignoring medical red flags - also not true
3. They have not put their best effort into hiring a competent medical/training/nutritional team together despite the same results year over year. I would call this professional negligence - This is true

What we really need is a reporter with some credibility and a pair of testicles to press the issue. "Guys, it's either the substation, or you're just a bunch of f**k ups.You already laughed off the substation."

First, i do not think it is causing injuries.

However, i do wonder if maybe it could affect recovery. Not to some massive degree, just strains/sprains take a couple more days. The timeline says ready to go but they are not, causing a setback.

All the static. Or possibly just the thought it might be the problem is causing slower recovery.
Or the medical staff is just bad at diagnosing.

Sure but we are talking about a vast difference in size and voltage. Not having a power hungry stadium to feed means they could go back to more of what it looked like previously.

The more injury issues this team has, the more this will be brought up over and over. A new practice facility is a competitive necessity at this point and like I said before, not just because of the conspiracies about the substation but also because the 49ers practice facility is rather small and dated compared to what other teams are now putting out there.
