It's comedy how Training Camp news articles just parrot each other. And then you have the pessimism and harshness of Grant Cohen versus the blandness of Matt Maiocco.

What gets frustrating tho is when one says a player is doing great, and the other says they are garbage.
>Enrique Cruz -- reported as doing well and developing, Cohen says he can't block a feather
>Green - some say great camp, others terrible

Throw out Cohn, throw out Lombardi, set an average of the rest.

Dieter says Cruz has been awful...

Unfortunately, I trust his opinion.

Yah reports I've read is that he's been getting beat. So much for being a Trent William clone.

Cruz's lack of flexibility and choppy footwork showed up disastrously on tape. He's athletic in terms of running fast, but his feet are horrendous. He shuffles like an old man in his set. Personally, I wouldn't have thought it was that hard to learn how to move properly after the snap but I haven't heard anything about him making the adjustment yet..

His mindset seems good and his athletic profile is top tier, but he doesn't move like a good football player. I am not even sure he'd be OK inside. Reminds me a lot of Josh Garnett.

Maybe he can play guard.
Blocking TE sounds better since Farrell sucks and it's a huge need.

I haven't heard too many positives about him and I'm reading a lot of reports it's mainly coaches that talked about him

ghat being said he was a 7th round pick with immense physical talents so it was a pick where you don't expect to contribute now but maybe down the line his football talent catches up

7th round guy that will be cut or placed on the practice squad.
Enrique Cruz draft profile

Weaknesses
  • Tight hips limit leverage as drive blocker and anchor in pass pro.
  • Takes an excessive number of settle steps when fitting into run blocks.
  • Below-average change of direction to hit moving targets in space.
  • Gathers rushers with length instead of punching and disrupting the rush.
  • Inside moves and counters come too quickly for him to match.

From what I remember he was predicted as a probable UDFA so he will likely be a practice squad guy for a couple of years to see if he can develop into a starter or backup.

Lol Cruz is a young player just entering the league. Youre judging him on a few weeks of training camp play. Lol ideally cruz doesn't play at all these next two years and preps to take over LT by his third year.

Nah I'm not judging him, the second part of my post was just messing around.
