How Do We Feel Going Into This Season?

I expect the defense to be improved- certainly in the trenches.

I have little faith in the offensive line and believe that will hold us back. (Assuming a healthy year all around)

I know this is strange but if there is a path for us to get a top 5 pick, I would almost take that over losing in the divisional round considering the strength of next years draft.

With that said, I am never open to tanking/losing.

We have too much talent for that too happen...and now with Mac Jones, even if Brock has to miss some games, it's not the end of the world.

There is a path to a top 5 pick for every team in the league.

Lose enough impact players to injuries early in the season and any team can be picking top 5. Watch the Rams lose Stafford, Garrett, Puka, Turner and McDuffie for the year first quarter of the season and I'll put money on them falling apart.

I think we all understand we're a top heavy team so anything can happen but just like that we can also make a run to the SB.

All these people whining about this team not being good need to remember we beat Seattle without Aiyuk and Kittle only playing one series at Seattle. If the team doesn't become riddled with injuries again, we will be able to beat any team we line up against.

Mark my words, Seattle will not be the same this year. That D will still be great but the O will take a huge step back. Kubiak masked a lot of their deficiencies especially with Darnold.

Pass Rush. There is not enough depth. They will make a move but who?

I feel it will be more of the same as last year. 12-5 or 10-7 more travel bit more difficult schedule mostly because of the Travel. Maybe make the wild card and lose in the playoffs. The blame will fall on injury's / travel schedule or anyone and anything other than Kyle / Teams management of the draft.

With this season's team, the SB is definitely in the mix.
Apart from the ever-present health factor, I think a lot will depend on the strength of immeasurables. Will the new arrivals respect what takes to be a winner? I'm hearing good things about the rookies attitde-wise. Will Warner and Greenlaw quickly get back to their former symbiotic mindmeld? Will Brock and the new receivers sync well on all the off-schedule, backyard stuff?
This team has usually been solid on immeasurables. Hopefully, with this new talent we will be delighted in the outcome this season.

I feel the same way every year: I enjoy going to the games at Levi's and, since I live in the Los Angeles area, going and taking over Sofi with the rest of the Faithful. It's always been the same: watching the games unfold and seeing Brock prove "talking heads" wrong time and time again. That's how I feel

I get people being shell shocked by that last game. We basically lost that game in the first 13 seconds.

But with this coaching staff and a roster that isn't decimated by impact player injuries we have a chance in any game.

I totally understand people remembering how bad our OL got thrown around and abused in those 2 games and be concerned that we didn't bring in anyone to make us feel all warm and fuzzy.

I am not thrilled with who we have out there. No matter the love they throw at him I think Brendel is a weak spot and I don't see anyone behind him to push him(though I'd love for Brett Toth to prove me wrong). I do think Puni should rebound. Trent and McKivitz are good bookends but we all know Trent is aging. We need him to stay healthy.

All eyes will be on LG competition this summer. Need someone to not just win it but run away with it.

I am intrigued by Willis and Cruz but don't know if they'll be ready as rookies. Question will be can they even make the roster? I imagine Willis being a 4th rounder with more position versatility gets a spot. Cruz is very intriguing due to his athletic testing but do we have a spot for him if he's not ready now?

Long story short...while not sexy we've made changes to our roster in a big way from last year's version. I trust our coaching staff and while Seattle and Rams are very talented and dangerous with excellent coaching of their own. I think we can beat any team with our guys out there.

I just feel older.

OL , DBs, and potentially WR health will prevent any serious championship chances
