How Do We Feel Going Into This Season?

Even after the Myles trade I still feel the same about our chances this year, which is great.

I think we will do exactly what John and Kyle have set up. A winning season. Getting to the playoffs. Maybe win one playoff game. And enjoy the off-season. I honestly don't think any of the major decision makers care about winning a Super Bowl. John and Kyle want to be good enough to not get fired. Jed wants to be good enough to sell tickets and merchandise. And the new generation of participation trophy fans seem happy with that...

This idea that Kyle and John don't want to win a SB is silly. They just aren't gonna commit suicide over it every season, because guess what - even the Rams haven't done that every season under McVay.

Gotta pick your battles. Going all-in every year isn't realistic.

You do what you can to stay competitive, but trading for CMC or signing a Hargrave is something you do more selectively. And if it doesn't work it sets you back a few years. We're in the phase of pulling out of that set back by restocking. We're not in the mortgage the future to go for broke phase.

Now, weirder things have happened. It's not like the best team wins the SB every year. Look at the Packers under Rodgers - they only won their SB in a down year. They had a handful of better seasons with better rosters that didn't even make the SB. You never know how the ball will bounce in the end.
I still feel like this is going to be a fun interesting season. Competition has gotten even better, feels like we are the Rocky Balboa of football teams heading into this season.

Looking forward to seeing the young guys and free agents as well as the guys returning from injury.

Doesn't feel like a championship season is on the horizon, but it didn't feel like it in 1981 either.
Another doom and gloom thread. Why bother asking a bunch of crybabies how they feel?

Idk I started it positive saying I think this might be the best roster since 21 and the poles were leading positively but yeah the rams hustled traded for arguably a top 5 pass rusher ever and reigning all time sack leader so it might not be positive…
I believe that we will have one of the best defenses in the NFL. We have so many big time players returning and joining the Defense this year. Not to mention the two Rookies I'm really excited about.

Fred Warner
Nick Bosa
Mykel Williams
Dre Greenlaw
Osa Odighizuwa
Romello Height
Gracen Halton

I think Osa is going to have a Justin Smith type career, he played solid with his first team never made the Pro Bowl, then comes here and has a resurgent 2nd part of his career and becomes a Pro Bowler. He has way too much potential to not be, and I think playing alongside Bosa will help with that.

For how I'm feeling going into the season I expect us to make the playoffs number one, but once we're in the playoffs, we have to be healthy and if we are healthy, then I expect us to make it to the Super Bowl, Because I also do not think that we are done making additions. We have way too much cap space to just sit around and do nothing this entire season. I fully expect John Lynch and his team to make another big addition at some point whether it's this off-season or during the season.

I still think we will have a very good season as long as we are healthy. Come close to the trade deadline would love to trade for Jared Verse or Maxx Crosby to make a push
Playoffs maybe win a playoff game or two, Super Bowl contenders if we get a legit pass rusher
Playoffs yes. Probably a deep run in the playoffs. Lombardi? IF they can fix the DL and pick up an effective and another edge rusher. This is a very good team and they should do well. We'll see because bottom line that is why they play the games, right? Rams have to be favored to win it all on paper but usually not the best team on paper actually wins it. Just going to take this one game at a time in the fall.

Agree 💯%, and the Rams did lose Verse when they traded for Myles, so it wasn't a 100% gain - in a sense. They lost Verse to gain Myles. I'm hoping the 2026 49er draft was as good as the 2025 one. If so, what you posted is probably what will happen in my opinion.
I love that critics are sleeping on us while whiner fans already underestimating the team and sweating Garrett going to Lambs Health will be the continuing factor... we're SB bound #BookIt
IF THE PUNKA** SEAHAWKS CAN DO IT?...............WHY NOT US?
