Sad the April fools tradition died. There were some pretty good ones back in the day. It was always great to see comments from the new folks who had not lived it yet. Good times.

Not quite. He was purported to throw 160 MPH. Nobody today tops 104 even with the faster guns the use now.

What ruined it were the smart alecs that were trying to forecast it the day prior to it being posted. Just be quiet about it so the joke can register with the rest of us

What ruined it was gullible news outlets who ran with it like actual news and that created some issues with legit articles from here being blocked as a result.
