What happened to the old guy? We were happy with him.

Moorstead started decently but faded during the season - he wasn't particularly impressive the last few weeks

was awful in the final games. Horrific against the seahawks.
Moorstead was awful for most of the season. If we got backed up he was never flipping the field. Seems like an upgrade and 10 years younger.

He's about as average as average gets. Hope they bring a UDFA as competition.
I haven't fact checked this, but this doesn't look average as average gets

Definitely an upgrade, plus he's left footed and 10 years younger

Plus, he's a good holder ... from AI:
Corliss Waitman is considered an excellent holder, Mike Tomlin identified Waitman's ability to hold as "solid, consistent" and a primary reason he was chosen for the roster, noting that his experience and rapport with All-Pro kicker Chris Boswell gave him a distinct advantage in position battles.
With Waitman holding in 2024, kicker Chris Boswell led the NFL in scoring and earned first-team All-Pro honors.
During critical moments, Waitman has been praised for cleanly fielding low snaps to prevent potential disasters.

Got hands too, LG

Sensing sarcasm. I am not holding my breath. Getting Wishnowsky/Moody vibes all over again & this guy is just some vet competition.

He didn't punt for a month and a half, right? I don't remember him being that bad, but his numbers are a little worse than it appeared watching the games. Oh well, good luck to guy and I think our new punters numbers are pretty top tier. So looking forward to it.

This is what i remember was he got worse as the season went along. Seemed like he could never make the huge punt to flip the field when we needed it

His numbers are really good. Glad we got an upgrade. This whole team has been drastically upgraded this season. I love it.

Now if we could just get a left guard besides Toth, then we can get a pass rusher with our first round pick. Or vice versa if we could just get a pass rusher like Bosa then we can get a tackle to play guard or a great guard in the draft.

Agree totally.
Don't know if it's just Kyle and yet another average ST coach but I doubt they really have a grip on this part of the game.
Last year was not great.
So they call plays and coach them to not "stuff it up". Then go out and hire the "next" so called stud. (not Waitman).
Then they wonder why the players wilt under the expectation?
Expect another year of meh in this part of the game.
They will draft a punter or at least UDFA.
