(Revisiting my original post) If you just went with the offseason hype -- Rams acquired top flight CBs and DPY. Seemed like another year of "staying ahead" of the 9ers. It's only 3 games in, but seems some cracks are emerging in Rams -- Garret and Donald being elite impacts might have been overhyped, and Rams gave up a 1st round player (Verse) and 2027 1st round pick, 2028 2nd, and 2029 3rd. This could be similar to the 9ers Lance trade impact.
9ers drafts haven't worked out, but the 2026 draft seems to have added some good build pieces -- Stribling (wish he was playing and gaining experience), Black (finally a true rotational RB), Dugger (already playing and developing as a hybrid-LB), Halton (seems to be developing into a DT impact starter). I still have hope for Prysock, Willis, and Height to develop into good pieces. Cruz becoming a competent swing tackle would be a plus, a true LT a miracle.
2027 - 9ers get Pearsall back and effective and a good 2027 draft class and this club could be set up well to compete.
I said from the get go that the Rams were overhyped yet so many people on here and social media kept acting like they should be crowned champs, they look great on paper but you need to actually show up and do the work, not be crowned, so yeah I never once thought they were the greatest team ever, but that's me, they're as old as we are, Donald doesn't look like who he was, Garrett has played 1 game, who knows how he looks when he's back, Puka has missed what 2 games? Stafford is old, yeah I'm not goo goo gah gah over them like some on here are.
