How Do You Feel Going Into 2025?

Last year we were plagued by so many injuries. I am assuming we are reasonably healthy this year. We fixed our biggest issue going into the season which is DL and i think our run D will be fixed along with a slightly better pass rush. We also have a last place schedule. Also last year i think ST was responsible for 3-4 losses single handedly and im not just talking about FG but bad coverage. I am assuming that gets fixed

Idk everything would have to go right no major injuries, Brock / Ayuik bounce back with Mykel, Collins and West all being hits as day 1 starters

I think if we somehow have reasonable health this is reasonable with the schedule.
Our biggest issues last year were an atrocious run D, health, and an atrocious red zone offense. Even with all our issues….if the red zone offense improves we win a few more games.

We have the potential for a significantly improved run D….even getting to league average is a significant improvement that will lead to wins.

I'm optimistic. Purdy has a ton of weapons especially if Aiyuk is back. The D might take a few weeks to gel but has a ton of talent.

CMC, Purdy, Trent, Bosa, Kittle, Warner. Any of them go down the team is cooked.

AI is concerning, but it really does a great job of writing a starting framework of often terrible code :)

Getting off topic but having something create your thought and speak for you is just disgusting. As someone who values passion and art it'll be the death of both those things being genuine.

Rams obviously win the division
2) Seahawks - coaching and defense will keep them around 9-8, give or take a game or two either way.

3) Cardinals - coaching and talent (both good and bad with qb) will keep them around 8-9, give or take a game or two either way.
4) 49ers - old and injured and depleted roster and depth and psychology of knowing it's the end will plummet them to 5 or 6 wins. Hopefully they have enough health to pull out 7 or 8, though; don't want them restocking talent too high.

My biggest concern is the Niners lack team speed especially on offense. This will allow opponents to load the box and make Purdy beat them with a depleted WR group. Guess the good news is with the addition of Saleh, Kyle can really concentrate on dialing up good plays for the Niners to compete.

Don't agree. And most teams are struggling if their qb goes down.

I don't know that it will be the death of it, but it's definitely going to move some money around. There have been a number of art movements that are all about manipulating other works in cynical ways to make a different artistic statement. I saw an installation that has been traveling for years that is just a series of instructions from the original artist to a series of drafts-people who are to be hired by the exhibitor to draw patterns on walls. So, in that case the original artist just creates a set of instructions.

To get it back on topic ... if Saleh comes up with a defensive play or AI does, does it matter to the outcome on the field?

The reality is that it's been centuries since machines could do some things as well as or better than humans. No humans can beat the latest iphone chess playing apps. What will happen is human roles will change again whether we like it or not.

sounds like some real modern 'art' aka crap
If we are to win more than 6 games this season, BP has to step up and play better than he did last season. If we get the 2024 version of Purdy versus 2023 this upcoming season, then we aren't going anywhere this season and may have to question him being the long-term guy at QB.

I was more confident in the 2019 roster than this one. Knew our DL was going to be monstrous and way overextended expectations. I understand the point you're making 2019 and 2011 we were at the bottom of the mud and struck the nfl by stern out of nowhere and it can happen again. But my stomach says otherwise

Yeah like I said, I get it. There are a lot of guys who have to step up for something like that to happen. The defense in 2019 was pretty deep on the DL and I think we all felt Bosa was a guaranteed stud and having more "safer" guys like Tartt and Ward along with vet Sherm and Mosely along with the big FA/trade additions in Kwon and Ford made it easier to buy in.

When you're expecting potentially as many as 4 rookie starters(Williams, Collins, West, Stout/Martin) on defense and like 4 more 2nd year players(Puni, Green, Mustafa, Pearsall) it leaves a lot of doubt.

Flip side is of course all of those guys could play above expectations but that's why we wait and see.
Assuming everyone stays healthy, we can go 11-6 with our schedule but that's dependent on Brock playing some good football. Sounds like he's going to get around 50mil per, he better play like it. If we go 500 or below, paying him 50 will turn out to be a huge mistake.

Shocking. We're literally using their own model of retooling and they're too stupid to see it.

Psychology of knowing it's the end

There are like 16 players who made serious contributions in the 2023 SB season(2 of them are the kickers)

Purdy
CMC
Kittle
Aiyuk
JJ
Juice
Trent
Brendel
Burford
McKivitz
Bosa
Warner
Lenoir
J Brown
Moody
Wish

Out of those guys only 4 will be over 30 - Trent, Kittle, Juice and Brendel. It's pretty stupid to claim this team is going to fall apart because they're busy worrying about the window closing or being old.
