Why allow our players to hold out?

Why? Ever since this regime has started, we have had our big name stars hold out for their huge contracts. Deebo, bosa, aiyuk, Trent. All have absolutely sucked the season during their holdout. Is it paarag? Lynch? Who allows this? What money have we saved by not just getting the deal effing done before training camp starts? Was it worth it? Bosa is not an elite player. Choked in the superbowl and never finishes now. Aiyuk has been terrible. Trent, slow and multiple penalties this year. So disappointing

80% of other NFL teams can get their guys signed prior to TC. I'm not sure what our team's problem is. It's not like we ever "win" a deal anyway. Maybe we were smart when it came to a few players like Greenlaw and JJ but otherwise we have not been that good about it.

I hope this past offseason is enough to really shake some reality into our FO. They have committed some serious cash to guys that are contributing jack S. Thats gotta hurt.

Every team has stars players that "hold out" not sure where you get this 80% from?
End of the day it's usually the player/agent that want to hold out for the most money. The team wants that player to be practicing, there's no reason why a team would ever be okay with a player sitting out. It's the player / agent that elongate the negotiations. I thought this was common knowledge.

It's a negotiating tactic available to all players under the collective bargaining agreement, not some special weakness of the 49er front office.
Kills the product on the field, though.

This is what I would do. Every player and agent knows before the season ends.
