Who cares about winning the West? This season is SB or bust, and we aren't winning the SB.

I just don't see how this team recovers once CMC comes back. It seems like the fans are banking that once CMC comes back, this offense will be a powerhouse. But that completely ignores that we still have a horrible STs and an avg defense. Plus can't rely on CMC's damaged Achilles to hold up all season.

We are in a very bad position. This is not the 3-5 Niners from 3 years ago that had a potent defense and a solid D coordinator and a serviceable STs that can make a deep run. This is an aging team with a stale offensive scheme. We are not getting home field. We will likely miss the playoffs, or squeak in as WC traveling to Detroit or Minnesota at some point.

I agree and good points....Next year we need to fix some things and we may be ok. I do think the superbowl window is closed for now.

What dynasty?

The dynasty reference is for the diehard Shanahan fans that think we're in the midst of our glory years and when and if Kyle gets fired, we will end up hiring Chip Kelly or Jim Tomsula and become a 4-12(13) team again. It's a myth spread by the Kyle bandwagon that he is the only reason we are and can be a SB contender. Therefore the current "success" the team is having is based on the sole notion that Kyle is the force behind it. It's in essence the definition of a dynasty to them.

IMO this dynasty is over. Time to move on…
