I understand that injuries are unavoidable in a violent game. Broken bones, torn ligaments, concussions, foot and ankle problems, etc. but all these non contact soft tissue injuries points to some failings, not the inherent risks of a contact sport.

This many soft tissue injuries tells me their training program in the pre season is weak and ineffective. Plus their trainers are useless. Something is wrong IMO.

How about checking the injury position with other teams. Rams, for example.

Rams have some injuries. But we got to be the most injured team in the league at key positions. It's ridiculous to have this many key guys out already. At this point in the season.
I think this whole thing is part the players drafted, and part wanting to peak late in the season. I don't subscribe to the idea this is just random, or bad luck. I really do think they ramp up their conditioning program later than some other teams. I am sure they are more worried about having as much gas left in the tank in December as they can manage.

Plus you get the added effect, because of the string of success in recent years....they probably get everyone's A game. I am sure teams take every opportunity to get physical with the 49ers every chance they can get. If every team coming in knows the 49ers are going to be physical, I am sure teams want to match that. I would think after you factor out rushing attempts by QB, 49ers have to be wayyy up there....and we know we ask alot of the TEs and WRs when it comes to run blocking.

The Rams have four of their top 5 OL starters on IR, plus Nacua. Cooper is out for an indefinite period and may go on IR. They also have 7 on the "questionable" list today. They are worse off than 49ers.
+1 to everything said and you also have to consider the # of extra games the team has played since 2019 with our deep playoff runs. It adds up to almost an extra season worth of games
you can't worry about injuries

every little thing, gonna be alright

i hear huf is back

The deep playoff runs probably make us more beat up than other teams. I'm sure that's true. An unintended side effect.

It's football. Stuff happens. Same training staff as last year as I understand it.
I used to think this issue was unique to the Niners and maybe the Chargers, but honestly it's an nfl problem. This is what happens when teams go light on OTAs, mini, training camp, preseason

the entire league is just a damn mess right now.

Yeah I think that's a lot of it. They used to do 2 a days and hit. So guys were ready by the season.

I think it's more due to players training year round instead of just letting the body heal longer
Why is this not locked. So dumb lmao

Relax everyone nothing to see here, these are two bye weeks coming up for important veterans. So Shanahan can afford to sit them.
