We have a damn good team and the depth looks amazing, especially in areas we haven't had in a long time.
Jarret Kingston is a rookie.
I think I'd put the following players as locked into a roster spot for the 53-man roster, or to begin on short term IR/PUP/NFI

  1. QB Brock Purdy(2025)
  2. QB Joshua Dobbs(2024)
  3. QB Brandon Allen(2024)
  4. RB Christian McCaffrey(2025)
  5. RB Isaac Guerendo(2027)
  6. FB Kyle Juszczyk(2025)
  7. WR Brandon Aiyuk(2024)
  8. WR Deebo Samuel(2025)
  9. WR Jauan Jennings(2024)
  10. WR Ricky Pearsall(2027)
  11. WR Jacob Cowing(2027)
  12. TE George Kittle(2025)
  13. C Jake Brendel(2026)
  14. LG Aaron Banks(2024)
  15. RG Jon Feliciano(2024)
  16. LT Trent Williams(2026)
  17. RT Colton McKivitz(2025)
  18. OL Dominick Puni(2027)
  19. DE Nick Bosa(2028)
  20. DE Leonard Floyd(2025)
  21. DE Yetur Gross-Matos(2025)
  22. DT Maliek Collins(2025)
  23. DT Kevin Givens(2024)
  24. DT Jordan Elliott(2025)
  25. NT Javon Hargrave(2026)
  26. LB Fred Warner(2026)
  27. LB Dre Greenlaw(2024)
  28. LB De'Vondre Campbell(2024)
  29. LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles(2024)
  30. CB Charvarius Ward(2024)
  31. CB Deommodore Lenoir(2024)
  32. CB Isaac Yiadom(2024)
  33. CB Rock Ya-Sin(2024)
  34. CB Renardo Green(2027)
  35. FS Ji'Ayir Brown(2026)
  36. SS Talanoa Hufanga(2024)
  37. SS George Odum(2026)
  38. SS/FS Malik Mustapha(2027)
  39. PK Jake Moody(2026)
  40. P Mitch Wishnowsky(2026)
  41. LS Taybor Pepper(2025)

So, 41 locks, with Dre being the guy that would make it just 40 if he begins on PUP, so 13 potential roster spots open.

The following are close to being on the roster or as of now have the best shot to make the final 53.

  1. RB Elijah Mitchell(2024)
  2. RB Jordan Mason(2024)
  3. RB Patrick Taylor Jr.(2024)
  4. WR Chris Conley(2024)
  5. WR Trent Taylor(2024)
  6. WR Ronnie Bell(2026)
  7. WR Danny Gray(2025)
  8. TE Cameron Latu(2026)
  9. TE Brayden Willis(2026)
  10. TE Eric Saubert(2024)
  11. C Ben Bartch(2024)
  12. LG Nick Zakelj(2025)
  13. RG Spencer Burford(2025)
  14. LT Jaylon Moore(2024)
  15. RT Brandon Parker(2024)
  16. OL Jarrett Kingston(2027)
  17. DE Drake Jackson(2025)
  18. DE Robert Beal Jr.(2026)
  19. DT T.Y. McGill Jr.(2024)
  20. NT Kalia Davis(2025)
  21. NT Evan Anderson(2026)
  22. LB Ezekiel Turner(2024)
  23. LB Jalen Graham(2026)
  24. LB Dee Winters(2026)
  25. LB Tatum Bethune(2027)
  26. LB Curtis Robinson(2024)
  27. CB Samuel Womack III(2025)
  28. CB Ambry Thomas(2024)
  29. CB Darrell Luter Jr.(2026)
  30. CB Chase Lucas(2024)
  31. FS Tayler Hawkins(2024)

Yeah 31 players who I think will compete for roster spots in camp this offseason, I added Evan Anderson just because of the huge guarantee they gave him, no he's not locked in, but he should have a legit shot, he'll be a PS guy for sure at worst IMO.

The rest of the roster I see as just camp bodies.

  1. QB Tanner Mordecai(2026)
  2. RB Cody Schrader(2026)
  3. WR Tay Martin(2024)
  4. WR Terique Owens(2026)
  5. TE Jake Tonges(2024)
  6. TE Mason Pline(2026)
  7. C Corey Luciano(2024)
  8. C Drake Nugent(2026)
  9. C Briason Mays(2026)
  10. LT Isaac Alarcon(2024)
  11. LT Sebastian Gutierrez(2024)
  12. DE Alex Barrett(2024)
  13. DE Earnest Brown IV(2024)
  14. DE Austin Bryant(2024)
  15. DE Sam Okuayinonut(2024)
  16. DT Spencer Waege(2024)
  17. DT Raymond Johnson III(2024)
  18. CB Kemon Hall(2024)
  19. FS Jaylen Mahoney(2026)
  20. SS Erik Harris(2024)

FYI, Alacron doesn't count against the offseason 90-man roster, due to the team getting a roster exemption so he'll be on the PS, as he's the International Pathway Program player, like we had with Alfredo Gutierrez, who wasn't signed back, so team needs to cut 1 player when they sign their 8 UDFAs.

I think Tanner Mordecai can challenge Brandon Allen for the QB3 spot. We shall see in pre-season.
I feel like I've seen Gutierrez for the past 10 years.
I think Moore is a lock if healthy. There's no other swing tackle on the team. Parker I would argue isn't camp fodder and could be like Matt Pryor.

I agree, his measurables make him look like a legitimate high round left tackle. I hope he takes this second opportunity and develop under Foerster.
Looks like there's gonna be some tuff cuts this year.
This is my early guess:

QB: Purdy, Dobbs, Allen
RB: McCaffrey, Mitchell, Guerendo, Mason, Juice
TE: Kittle, Saubert, Pline
WR: Samuel, Aiyuk, Jennings, Pearsall Cowing, Conley
OT: Williams, McKivitz, Moore
IOL: Banks, Brendel, Feliciano, Puni, Kingston

DE: Bosa, Floyd, Beal, Gross-Matos, Jackson
DT: Hargrave, Collins, Elliot, Givens, Anderson
LB: Warner, Campbell, DFF, Turner, Bethune
CB: Ward, Lenoir, Green, Yiadom, Luter, Lucas
S: Brown, Hufanga, Mustapha, Odum

ST: Moody, Wishnowsky, Pepper

Pup: Greenlaw

16-man PS:
WR Trent Taylor
WR Ronnie Bell
RB Corey Schrader
TE Cameron Latu
TE Brayden Willis
OL Nick Zakelj
OL Drake Nugent
OT Brandon Parker
DE Austin Bryant
DT T.Y. McGill
DT Kalia Davis
LB Jalen Graham
LB Curtis Robinson
CB Samuel Womack
CB Rock Ya-sin
S Erik Harris

Notes:
*I think we will attempt to trade Burford. Puni can play anywhere on the OL and Kingston offers G/T versatility as well. Burford needs an outstanding camp to avoid this, and even then it may not be enough because not only does he not start over Jon, we added multiple potential replacements for him as the backup too.

*I wouldn't be surprised to see us trade a couple other guys for late 2026 picks too. Perhaps Winters, Graham, Ambry, or.. As much as I'd hate it.. Jordan Mason. I do not think we'll trade Mitchell. He's worth more to us than the late pick at best that we'd probably get.

*I think we will have a strong open competition for TE2 & TE3. I don't see us keeping 4 this year. Saubert comes from Houston where they ran our system. He's a vet so I expect him to most likely make it. I think Mason Pline may surprise. He may have the best hands of all our backup guys. He may need technical work as a blocker but he has superior size to both Latu and Willis. Latu hopefully comes in way better after getting humbled quick last year. He is a better blocker than Willis, who repeatedly got blown up last year, but ball security all camp was horrific. Drops all throughout camp and a fumble in limited game action.. Not good. Willis has nice receiving ability, but looked not only smaller than expected, but astonishingly weak last year when asked to line up next to the tackle.

Close to what I would do right now, a few things, I still have 4 TEs with Willis & Latu as of now making it.

At LB, I'd have Graham & Winters over Turner & Bethune, and at CB Rock Ya-Sin is pretty much a lock, his entire deal for the most part is fully guaranteed, his base salary is $1.125M, with $167,500 in bonuses, of that $1.125M only $985K counts, but it's all GTD at signing. Turner has no GTD money, I need to see him before I put him on my 53. I like Anderson/Davis battle for NT spot, I think either 1. Anderson shows out, & they HAVE to keep him, or 2. they hardly play him and hope to sneak him thru waivers, don't look at UDFA GTD money, yeah he got $250K of his base GTD at signing, but that's not really a huge indication that he's gonna make it, he needs to earn it obviously, these guys went undrafted for a reason, hoping to see guys like Anderson, Pline, Schrader to shine, and make the roster, I'd try to trade Mitchell, he's not gonna be back in 2025, Mason is a RFA after 2024, I'd try to keep him over Mitchell if it comes down to Schrader or Mitchell.
Mitchell will end up hurt within the first 3-5 weeks
QB: Purdy/ Dobbs/ Allen
RB: CMC/Mitchell/Mason/Guerendo
FB: Juice
WR: Aijuk/Samuel/Pearsall/Cowing/Jennings/Conley
TE: Kittle/Latu/Saubert
IOL: Banks/Puni/Feliciano/Brendel/Burford/Kingston
OT: Williams/McKitvitz/Moore

DE: Bosa/Floyd/Matus-Gross/Jackson/Beal
DT: Hargrave/Collins/Givens/Anderson
LB: Warner/Campbell/Flannigan-Fowles/Winters/Graham
CB: Ward/Lenoir/Green/Yiadom/Womack
S: Brown/Hufanga/Mustapha/Odum

Just have a gut feeling on this that the guaranteed is a sacrifice they're willing to make to get someone into camp. We've seen them release guys before with even more guaranteed than Rock.

I do think it's possible Allen gets cut if we only want two quarterbacks. And then if we can't get him on the PS, Mordecai goes on there if he does well.
