The D has played above average in the last 3 games.
Agreed, with that said neither KC or Dal have good offenses and I still think defense is overly reliant on turnovers

Yea, definitely. Luckily Mayfield has been throwing a lot of INTs despite his gaudy passing yards. Without their 2 best WRs I hope we can shut them down.

Bucs were hanging with Falcons even w/out both top WRs, I was surprised.

They have another tough game next Monday at KC, then they'll face a rested / hungry Niner team 49ers should come out on top

For once we have a massive rest differential on someone.
Seems like no one in the press is asking the hard question of Sorensen. Statistically we are way down. And he doesn't seem to adjust or do anything different. A great call out was in the Dallas game, where the announcers were talking about how Dallas really struggle the week before against stunts and looping lineman. I saw very, very few times we did that. Just straight up bull rush the whole time, which gave Dak tons of time and why we gave up so many 3rd down completions as well as those drives in the fourth quarter. He also refuses to manufacture pressure though blitzing. Out line is not good enough right now to manufacture constant pressure on its own; clearly after all season giving up the third and longs. Sorensen, however, doesn't seem to be doing anything about it.
Just not fan of anything this guy does. And I can't see Staley being an upgrade. Saleh and Ryans got better over the season, and thus far, I am not seeing those incremental improvements. I'm glad it's not Wilks...or am I.

Honest opinion: He is an upgrade over Wilks in general base formation play calling, but he is poor at scheming the front seven and blitz packages.

They specifically wanted someone who could do better with that. Unfortunately it hasn't happened and it's a big reason we are struggling to get off the field on third down. The number of third and long teams convert against us is atrocious.

It's bad when your surprised a team didn't convert on a 3rd down against us.
Really hope we don't keep him after the season ends.

Ditto.

Get Saleh back.
He sucks as a defensive coordinator. Time to go.

I'm sure they will. They have kept the ST coach and he has been ass since day 1. Kyle doesn't fire his buddies.
Yes dude is totally clueless. Him and Staley can go. It's like we have no gameplan. Just basic and vanilla.

Yea I was just thinking our defense used to look like that
I thought he did fine and is doing fine personally. He held a good offense to 13 points and the TD was because of special teams. I just don't think the team is as talented as it's been, especially up front.

Ya he really has gotten better, we will prob get a true feel against GB and Buffalo on how good/bad the D is
