Thanks for this post. I wondered about a few players if they were coming back or not.

I was hoping someone else would take the lead on this when I proposed it in the 53 man roster thread. I will do my best to keep it updated weekly!

Disclaimer - As I've gotten older I've lost track of some of the nuances of the NFL. My presumption is that IR before the cutdown results in a lost year for the players. I reserve the right to use the edit tool when I am undoubtedly at some point wrong on an update. :)

Talanoa's injury bothers me, I get the feeling it's (sooner or later) going to turn into a Dee Ford knee situation. I remember Kittle getting a torn Rotator cuff a couple of years ago, and I suspect that - it's still bothering him. Cartilage tears don't heal, as far as my amateur medical knowledge goes. Patrick Willis retired early because of a foot injury that didn't heal. All the others, seem minor injuries though. That's the good part of the news.
"I think there's always concern when something persists, and this has kind of lingered," general manager John Lynch said Thursday morning during an interview on KNBR. "George usually has about one of these things a year, and then once he gets through it, he's good. And so, knock on wood that's the case.
