Stole this idea from a twitter poll I saw, but switched things up to make it a little harder. 😈

Out of these pairs of former Niners coaches and players, who would you pick? I'm picking C in today's NFL.

I'd go with Kyle and Steve. I think Harbaugh's offense would lower Joe's potential to be great, and Walsh is no longer with us.

It's all hypothetical, but if Walsh were still with us, where would Purdy/Walsh rank, in your view?

I agree on the Young/Shanahan combo. Purdy/Walsh would be good as well. Harbaugh/Montana would be oil and water - not good.

Great suggestion!! I added it. Coach Criteria for me was they need to be an offensive minded HC that has appeared in a Super Bowl, otherwise I might've considered Mooch.

I think you could win a Super Bowl with either Young+Kyle or Harbaugh+Montana. I have a lot of respect for Walsh and IMO he's the GOAT in terms of offensive HCs, but even great HCs need great players to be able to win championships.
