John Chapman was saying he was getting burnt in practice during one on ones. And has yet to put together a consistent practice. Safeties will get owned during one on one drills but you still hate hearing this about your starting Safety.

Earns it? 1 solid year doesn't warrant a high end contract, I'd let him walk and get a 3rd comp in that case

*Morris is probably the best fit as a DC that Brown has had. I hope he balls out but I wouldn't commit to him. Especially if we were comfortable letting go of Hufanga

First Brown ain't gonna have a career year. Second we don't pay safeties. Third f**k Brown. Fourth hopefully this FO doesn't make that gigantic mistake.

All it would take for him to have a "career year" is being an average NFL safety

Which I agree is unlikely

I was wrong about Brown coming outta Penn St.. I was so wowed by all his INT's in college. Now I can't stand the thought of Brown starting. Man I miss Tony Parrish, even Zack Bronson was better.
He will be the DPOY according to reports.

Pre-season All-Pro. This is his contract year, he may surprise us.

Yeah Brown in college was a ball magnet not a ball hawk. Similar to the career Minkah Fitzpatrick is having. INTs off bad throws doesn't make it a great play. It's like an unblocked sack. End of the year the stat looks great but the reality is it wasn't earned.

I'd be surprised if he fits his run gap responsibilities like he's supposed to.

You're right I heard that too, how he got burned by our number nine receiver even though safeties aren't expected to cover receivers you'd expect him to be a lot closer on some of those plays. He's pretty slow. I'm surprised how he got all those interceptions in college.

Hopefully he improves because it's our weakest position on the team and I wish we could just trade for a good safety even spending a second or third rounder would be worth it to me for a pro bowl type safety
Leave him in / near the box, if he can't handle that sh!t, trade him at the deadline

Like Hysterikal said he's a ball magnet not ball hawk. More right place-right time situation in college, which clearly hasn't translated to the NFL.

Honestly I'm not excited about any of the top 3 Safeties on the team. I really wish they would trade for a much proven veteran instead of settling for what's on the roster.
