Tucker Kraft or bust.
Does everything well. 25 broken tackles on 102 receptions. Sound familiar?

Don't mind Schoonmaker or Strange after R3

And, Cohn has us taking Kraft, with our first pick in the 3rd, in his mock draft.

Not necessarily replace him but someone who's a legit pass catching threat to take wear and tear off him and not just depend on him to be our only receiving threat at TE. I've been screaming for this team to draft or sign another weapon at TE

I wouldn't necessarily be thinking of a true replacement. More of a starting caliber backup. I wanted us to take advantage of this deep class and draft two tight ends. With 11 picks, I'm still holding onto that dream.

I couldn't agree more. This draft is exactly the time to invest heavily in the TE room, it's a crazy deep class and George isn't getting any younger.
You always need to start looking for strong backups and eventual replacements. After the 3rd year is a good time to start since most contracts will be expiring soon after. Injuries can happen at any time and Kittle has had a lot of minor ones that kept him out of 3 or 4 games at a time.

Its too early to think about his replacement, but its absolutely time to get a 2nd tight end on board that can produce.

fixed in honor of BP
We at least need to find a partner in crime with Kittle. I thought when we had Vernon and Delanie together it gave us a great match up advantage that we haven't had since. Plus, it would be nice to have a guy that could take over should George either get hurt, or have age catch up to him over the next few years.
