This is why we paid Hargrave. DL are paid to win their one-on-ones, and Hargrave destroys the left guard.

Just like Charvarius Ward last year, John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan got someone that brings something else to the defense.
Hargrave is one of the best interior pass rushers in the game.

Yup, kudos to Lynch for not just getting Mooney Ward in 2022, but then Javon Hargrave in 2023, both bringing different things to the defense.

It would be a lot less productive without big 98 in there. Chip Bosa and slide the center towards AA, and there's nobody left on the DL that can consistently win 1-on-1 without Hargrave. Having a 2 IDL that can win their matchups is such a massive advantage for our pass rush.
