Hes rooting for anything bad that he can. No one wants this team to lose more.

I own a fine piece of real estate in both yours and Hoov's head.

First off, this whole he will never play in SF again is just silly. His legs aren't chopped off. I highly doubt this was something that just popped up this off season. He's gotta change some things, recover properly and take care of himself better.

Secondly, why can't we win a SB without him? Mason is on pace to rush for like 1,800 yards. Our running game isn't a problem. Sure CMC is a stud and brings more in the passing game as well…but let's stop acting like we don't have legit studs all over the place on offense. Brock is continuing to get better and better as well.

IMO it's the defense that needs to get their s**t together.

Wanna bet?

I do actually.

You're making it seem like CMC is an office employee who only needs to take things a bit easier.

With the massive levels of stress and strain his tendons have to endure, it's only a matter of time before he tears both his Achilles.

I mean, it's only a matter of time until he's old and dies, too. Might as well shoot him and get it over with,

So I guess every player is eventually going to tear their Achilles if they play enough snaps.

Since he always trains hard, the only difference was last year he was used a lot more than he is accustomed to and we played through the SB so 3 extra games.... Kyles fault.

2023 offseason was first time he had been on a long playoff run and he probably didn't dial it back then, either, and didn't have a setback. So he probably took that as a reason to go just as hard this past offseason too, and it finally caught up to him.

Yup.

TBH I see a father protecting his son. Maybe he's just starting to break down. It happens, especially at RB. He has a lot of miles on those achilles.

Didn't know every single NFL player has tendinitis in both legs.

I would say it's nobody's fault but there are things one can do to help prevent things from getting too bad. Off button and less reps. Hard when you are a competitor but it's important to have balance. Sometimes, hard to find what that balance is..ppls bodies are different. Idk

You said it's a matter of time based on all that stress. Every player gets that stress. O linemen maybe more than anyone since they're under attack on every play. Same for basketball players running up and down with all that jumping. Tendonitis can pop up with anyone whether they're an athlete or not.
Hopefully he doesn't have some disease or other medical condition causing these issues with the tendons.

how anyone can even take you halfway serious is beyond me...

It's kind of rare to have that in both legs. Too much over use. Which points to Shanahan.

maybe, probably workout injury, but maybe....

The only thing that makes me think maybe is the off-season payday.....

He would keep his injury status as quiet as possible if he was trying to secure a new payday.

If the dude was that beat up during last season, one would think he would be seeing all these specialist in the off season to get himself right for regular season....only reason to not do that is A. he hurt himself working out during the offseason, or B. He did not want his injury status to be known until after he got his new contract.

It's not an injury.

Insert whatever word you want....

To me it is any injury...If actions, not nature caused it, I think of it as an injury, not an illnesses.

So forgive my narrow approach to the world..

The word itself defines that it is an inflammation. If it was an injury it would be treated differently. When you get inflammation it can be caused by an injury but he has it in both legs. That's not an injury. It's a condition that could be the result of several things. Overwork could be one of them but it could very well be genetic. Some people are prone to inflammatory conditions. It could be an illness that they haven't diagnosed yet. Arthritis can cause it. Whatever it is he's going to try and play this year. His time may be limited or he may end up shutting it down and waiting until next year. That's the problem with this type of thing. It's not like recovering from surgery where they have a clear timeline.
His dad says he got tendinitis because he trains too much

I got yah amigo,

When the NFL list people as Injured Reserve and whatnot , I am sure it just propagates out from there, and then the media picks it up and next thing you know every one is calling it an injury.

For the record, I have had it in my elbow since HS, it has never gone away....it flares up sometimes and I can feel it when I get the flu or a cold as a body ache, but it was not life ending. Still did Boxing in my 20s, Judo/MMA in my 30s and 40s. It is kinda crazy what triggers it. Throwing around 200 pound men...nope....well sometimes....but mostly nope...had it fire off for weeks on end carrying around a 10 pound baby... It is just strange what sets it off. I made a post about it 20 years with the Doctor telling me it was degenerative....that never materialized ...have not thought about it in several years and I am in my 50s now...but I am not CMC, or ever that level of athlete, and I am sure elbows are wayyyy different then ankles, if for no other reason the weight they have to bare.

That and his extended playing through the SB year. Just overdid it overall, unfortunately. This season just won't be the same without him
