I never heard of FPI rankings but they have the Niners ranked 24th. Absolutely rediculous. Any ranking system that has the Lions and Giants ranked ahead of us should not be taken seriously.

In a perfect world yes I think they would like Brunskill to be their swing tackle. I said this is another thread when discussing the olineman as well. With that said Kyle has mentioned before the importance of the center position in the offense. He has always used an experienced player in that spot for that reason since he's been here. Which is why I believe it's unlikely a rookie will start there. That leaves Brunskill and Brendel. Brunskill isn't anything more than an average player but he has started two and half years on the oline now, should have good knowledge of the protections at this point, and not too mention last year's second round pick was unable to unseat him. I thought Brendel played well last year in preseason but still what is more likely in the event Mack doesn't return....Brendel who is on his 5th team since 2016 or Brunskill who has started the last two and and half years here to get first crack at center?

I think we only have a couple differences right now.

I'm thinking you have 5 LBs(Gemmel?), and Brendel(who I was debating over Zakelj, who probably clears waivers), and also no Hufanga? Hurst over Givens?.

I just edit my original one from page 1 as needed. You might see a few...like no McKivitz, Hufanga moved to the SAM/SS role, 9 OL instead of 10 (and you know i want 10), etc.

Ok, I see, question NC, wouldn't Hyder be a backup to Bosa, and Turay be backup to Ebukam?

If you look at their sizes, to be anyway, it would look like this.

Big EDGE: Bosa, Hyder, & Omenihu
Speedy EDGE: Ebukam, Turay, & Jackson

I like that line of thinking. I don't usually go that deep on the rotation but I like it!

Yeah man, I'm so into looking further, even to future years, I keep going over, in my head, 2023's roster, who could, should, will be back.

In 2023 we have 44 players signed right now.

  1. QB 5 Trey Lance(2024)
  2. QB 14 Brock Purdy(2025)
  3. RB 25 Elijah Mitchell(2024)
  4. RB 28 Trey Sermon(2024)
  5. RB 32 Tyrion Davis-Price(2025)
  6. RB 41 Jordan Mason(2024)
  7. FB 44 Kyle Juszyzck(2025)
  8. WR 11 Brandon Aiyuk(2023)
  9. WR 3 Ray-Ray McCloud III(2023)
  10. WR 86 Danny Gray(2025)
  11. WR 83 Tay Martin(2024)
  12. WR 24 Taysir Mack(2024)
  13. TE 85 George Kittle(2025)
  14. TE 89 Charlie Woerner(2023)
  15. C 50 Alex Mack(2023)
  16. C 61 Dohnovan West(2024)
  17. C 62 Jason Poe(2024)
  18. LG 65 Aaron Banks(2024)
  19. LG 63 Nick Zakelj(2025)
  20. RG 76 Jaylon Moore(2024)
  21. LT 71 Trent Williams(2026)
  22. LT 78 Sam Schlueter(2024)
  23. RT 74 Spencer Burford(2025)
  24. DE 97 Nick Bosa(2023)
  25. DE 95 Drake Jackson(2025)
  26. DT 91 Arik Armstead(2024)
  27. DT 77 Kevin Atkins(2024)
  28. NT 99 Javon Kinlaw(2023)
  29. NT 93 Kalia Davis(2025)
  30. WLB 47 Jeremiah Gemmel(2024)
  31. WLB 49 Segun Olubi(2024)
  32. MLB 54 Fred Warner(2026)
  33. MLB 48 Oren Burks(2023)
  34. SLB 40 Marcelino McCrary-Ball(2024)
  35. CB 35 Charvarius Ward(2024)
  36. CB 20 Ambry Thomas(2024)
  37. CB 38 Deommodore Lenoir(2024)
  38. CB 26 Samuel Womack III(2025)
  39. CB 36 Tariq Castro-Fields(2025)
  40. CB 43 Qwuantrezz Knight(2024)
  41. FS 41 Tayler Hawkins(2024)
  42. SS 29 Talanoa Hufanga(2024)
  43. SS 30 George Odum(2024)
  44. SS 14 Leon O'Neal Jr.(2024)

Of course the following IMO will be back in 2023.

WR 19 Deebo Samuel- New long term extension this offseason, along with Nick Bosa
WR 15 Jauan Jennings- ERFA again, only $940K tender

2023 could look different, players like RT Mike McGlinchey, WLB Dre Greenlaw, SLB Azeez Al-Shaair, CB Emmanuel Moseley, & FS Jimmie Ward are UFAs, probably our 5 biggest, behind Deebo right now.

I'm excited for 2022, but also the future.

It's actually more like 34 under contract since so many of those players are UDFAs that have no chance of making the roster. Practice squad, maybe, but I dont really consider them a legitimate part of the future.

I know, I was just saying we have 44 signed right now for 2023, yes we won't have them all signed for 2023, but the ones who sign to the practice squad will end up signing reserve/future deals at the end of the 2022 season.
A couple changes with the injury updates from Kyle.
