That's exactly my point. He can't literally leave since he is under contract no matter how upset he is.
All really he can do is sit on the bench. In other words, he HAS to STAY.
I will say this that would be a s**tty way to do Brock, after playing on the cheapest salary in the NFL and helping in getting this team to the Superbowl. Real s**tty. The FO ponies up and pays the other players but then its Brocks turn and they decide to start a new plan (if that happens) real classy. If that happens if I were Brock I would just sit out the whole year be damned live off the sponorship money.
Would be a terrible look for the franchise. Why i dont see it happening.
No numbers were mentioned here either. You still said it's a terrible look for the franchise anyways, though.
This is bad reasoning as to why you shouldn't see it happening. A much better reason is because it could possibly be a career-killer if teams are not knocking down our door for Brock. He doesnt accrue and he's in the same situation next year. That's terrible for Brock.

The 49ers taking a tough stand with the QB would be really stupid and I don't see them making that mistake. Just like I don't see Brock being the type of guy to sit in/out because he knows it hurts the team.
A "tough stand" can be anything you want it to be. Which side is taking the tougher stance?
He's not the type of guy to sit out because he knows it'll hurt his career. It's not to "help" the team. That's why he's out there practicing with the guys now. Jimmy might do otherwise...
