This dude is a young Alfred Morris. He's Perfect for this scheme and of course coach Bobby and shanny always find a way to maximize potential with those RB's.

Another 6th round gem by Shanalynch.

I am slightly hesitant for a couple reasons 1. Shanny rbs scare me in fantasy! Often injured and he seems to find a new tog and move on but I really think he likes this one 2. He hasn't been in the pass game a ton but this week he did have 5 receptions so maybe turning the corner 3. Pure draft investment by the niners may make him easier to replace 4. I don't want to just be wearing my homer glasses I'm this trade. I was pretty surprised to see a lot of mixed reviews on this trade in Reddit subs many against it a few for. Then I realized I may just be a homer in him. Let me know what you think of a mid/lit 2022 1st for Mitchell.
There's a thread for fantasy leagues btw...

I hope it's going to be an annual tradition. It would be a great addition to the annual 5th round gems we get yearly.

Thank you! I did not know that, but after going in there it doesn't look like anyone else does either. Not much play in that thread.

Yeah, who needs a 1st round pick when we're getting starters from our 5th/6th rounders.

Id like to hit "stars" in the first rather than "starters" in the 5th. Its nice though the 9ers hit some good players in the later rounds, they do however seem to flame out in 2-3 years

Mac Jones is running away with that right now. It'll be like 2012 where even though Alfred Morris and Doug Martin had monster rookie years, they were overshadowed by the QBs. If he slips then it's likely that Ja'Marr Chase gets it. Elijah Mitchell is having a really good rookie season. Chase is having a rookie year for the ages. Already has 900 yards receiving.

Interesting Lombardi point -- a lot of college coaches are studying Kyle's offense. Apparently Mitchell was in a team that implemented a lot of Kyle's offense. The more colleges that implement Kyle's offense, the more choices Kyle has from a draft and evaluation point of view in picking the players he needs for his offense once these players enter the NFL draft.

Lots of NFL teams are now running the same offense and looking for coaches who can run it so there's going to be increased competition for those same players.

Well, it could be a wash then. More college players vs more coaches looking for said college players.

Not a bad comparison but I think he's better than Alfred with bigger upside. He's quicker and more shifty. Alfred certainly had a few really good seasons for Kyle in Wash and was perfect for that offense but I think Mitchell can be a pro bowl RB for years to come. I see a lot of Garrison Hearst in him as well as a little Curtis Martin.
