But if you're the Jets it isn't like J.J. Watt in his prime is going to get you to the Super Bowl or anything. So if you have pieces someone has interest in, you might as well deal them away.
What kind of amazes me is the Jets sending us Willis and a pick in next year's draft for a pick 2 years from now. I suppose some could look at that as a negative if they want. It's probably just the Jets being the Jets.

I look at it as an athletic guy who has an opportunity. If he makes enough of a showing, he can really be a in a great position next year with our D-line in full force. People are down on Dee Ford, but I like the idea of an athletic/speed guy opposite of Bosa. Plus with our division, we are going to need another one of those guys in the draft- even if Jordan Willis turns out to be a serviceable rotational player.
As for the Jets, yeah, if we aren't winning and don't have a foundational player, may as well try to get draft picks, though I don't understand why they would give up an extra pick. Maybe the value on Willis was that low? Idk and don't care.
