Charlie Woerner only had 34 catches in college, but as George Kittle (48 catches) has shown, that can be largely irrelevant. It's about the film and Woerner does indeed have slot experience. But most importantly, he can block. That's what the 49ers want with Kittle already around

One of my favorite TE's in the #NFLDraft..... NOT MANY were talking about Georgia TE Charlie Woerner. Well rounded, excellent blocker for only weighing 245, and though was underutilized as a pass catcher.... he'll surprise some folks. #49ers drafted a kid that's gonna GRIND🙌🏼

Perfect TE2 prospect based on all the run blocking grades being posted. Will not be a liability in the run game. The offensive system will help him get touches in the passing game if needed.
