Whether they keep Williams or not, just play him at LG as a rookie.

This should have been in prep for at least a year. Again, poor planning by John and team.
And you know the likely hood of them reaching for a LT in the 1st rnd if they move on from him now out of desperation is extremely high and we've seen how thats worked out in the past.

This is supposed to be the draft for LT if you need one. Aren't there at least 6 to 7 I've read could be considered 1st round picks? They can stay calm and let the draft board fall to them and grab one.

Sounds easy and I know it isn't but it is a plan.

There aren' any really great prospects but there are some good ones. Nobody as good as Williams. He's going to be hard to replace. The problem agains is we don't pick until #27. The goood ones will probably be gone by then. Pls we need to fill at least 4 spots on the roster so which way do they go first. WR? D line? O line? DB?
BPA all the way.

Absolutely not but almost all other positions are in play.

But if he's the BPA you gotta take him. Unless your saying BPA at position of need
Yep at a position of need I should've been more clear but I was referring to his which way do they go first comment Wr,DL,OL or DB.
Not that they will win the division with Seattle and LA but if they trade Trent you can kiss the playoffs goodbye.

You think he would be a plug and play rookie in our offense at LT?

Wouldn't be a reach as long as it's Freeling or Iheanachor - no thank you to Blake Miller in the 1st round.

Rip the band aid off - trade Trent for whatever you can get ... 2nd/3rd/4th rd pick ... and pass on a WR/DT in the 1st and just draft Max Iheanachor at OT. He's a really good prospect with upside.

If we do this we better sign Doubs in FA since we may have to pass on Cooper Jr and Concepcion in the 1st round. The main thing that would suck about this is we would be so desperate that we wouldn't prob consider trading down to the early 2nd to grab more picks so not to lose out on Iheanachor.

Trial by fire for new rookie OL

27. Max Iheanachor OT
58. Emmanuel Pregnon/Kaylen Rutledge G
92. Kendrick Law/Bryce Lance WR
127. Malik Benson WR
133. Sam Roush TE
138. Zane Durant DT
171. Trey Zuhn C/G/T
Who doesn't love Trent? The annoying thing is he cares more about every dollar than anything. If it was his first big deal I sympathize, but at this point if he really wanted a ring.. well damn... maybe that's why he wants out LOL

Iheanachor OT will be there and is decent value at #27.

Ideally could trade back to 30-33 grab two extra picks at around the 90-120 region and then draft Iheanachor.

This is what happens when we don't seriously address the O-line. We should have addressed RT at least 2 years ago. If we don't get a LT with our 1st pick at 27 it would be roster malpractice. The refusal to seriously address the O-line has allowed Trent to basically hold them hostage because he knows there's nobody better. I don't blame Trent for getting all the money he can get. But Shanny & Co. should have addressed LT a long time ago.

Wouldn't have a problem with either guy at 27
but it would still be a pick out of necessity because of their handling of the Trent situation.

Mckivitz is actually one of the better RTs in the nfl

Yah I agree, love having Trent Williams but if we can land a decent pick perhaps a 4th or 5th round whatever I'd just take it and move on.

That's an insane take lmao.

Where's his replacement coming from?

These people think we can just pull a LT out of thin air lmao

No different than if you pony up and Trent gets hurt 1/2 the season or more. What would they do forfeit the season because they don't have Trent? No.🤣
He's already missed games the past seasons and it's more likely he will miss more games how many ever seasons he plays since he isn't getting younger.
If he's still as elite as they say then he should bring a boatload of draft compensation or player's swap.
They caved for DeeBo and he was a big disappointment.

The caved to Aiuke and he was awful and then injured.

If they cave to TW they'll set the team back years.
