He's gonna be there so we can enjoy the math of his signing bonus as it's presently constructed

Come on. He has to apply for reinstatement with the NFL first. Who's to say that they'll rubber stamp his return without going through what he put the team, and therefore the league into? I could see the league dumping the problem on the team pronto like it's a hot potato. Anyone that would give up millions like that has serious problems. Don't talk to me about principle. The situation has yet to come to a head. The security team at 49er HQ will have to be packin'. Not funny.

I remembered something being pushed out a year, I thought it was him being on the reserve list another year also with his contract status

Forgot about the warrant. Bureaucracies being what they are I could see the warrant issue holding up the process for at least a couple of days. Then there's the team releasing him immediately after they get word he's reinstated-don't let him anywhere near the building. That's 2 steps and Aiyuk hasn't even started on #1. It's a serious situation my friend.

100% disagree on your take....Going after the past monies is ALL about added salary cap. The 9ers may never get a dime back from him, but from the league perspective, we would be given an extra $18.4m in cap space next year. That's adding another really good player! YES - that's the path the 9ers will take!

Nope...and stats and facts prove that isn't true. Alex had issues sustaining drives, and that was even the case in 2011, his best 9er season. Kap came in and actually converted 3rd downs. Threw beyond the sticks. Didn't have to rely on our defense and special teams. Took us to the next level. Jimbo made the right move. He had the guts. Too bad it took him 12 years to have the guts to move on from Greg Roman. :/
