Ayuik is worse than Campbell, at least Campbell was pissed about being benched for Greenlaw. Ayuik is/was the the clear cut #1 with $120M on the table intentionally missing meetings not going through the rehab process for his knee and cold shouldering teammates that reached out

Kyle did say that he has rarely seen a contract voided like that. I am sort of shocked the 49ers organization just did not leave everything as is even if Ayiuk was missing meetings. Why rock the boat and just not pay Ayiuk as promised?

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but if I'm the 49ers, try your best to reconcile this situation and keep Ayiuk for next year playing on this team. He is a good player and we need him. And we do have rights to him.

I don't get how you are shocked. The 49ers front office regretted giving BA that deal, and BA gave them an excuse to get out of that contract. Furthermore, BA doesn't want to be here, so he didn't even bother fighting for his $27 million. That's extremely telling.

BA is gone. While the football side(Shanny+Lynch) wants him back, the 49ers front office wants him gone, and BA wants to go. It's beyond time to move on already.

It's dumb. Successful franchises don't normally operate like this. Kyle's competence as a HC covers up a lot of warts.

100 percent.

Well if they don't want to pay him, then why haven't they released him?

Trust me, stuff is going on behind the scenes.

so if we're using your claim that BA's all healed up and ready to play at the same level as '23, WHY THE HELL WOULD THE FO GIVE HIM AWAY TO A POSSIBLE PLAYOFF OPPONENT FOR FREE?!?!?!?

lol trust you guy. trust you.

People can second guess their decisions till the cows come home, but this is a results driven league. The results aren't simply team success, but drafting players like Warner, Kittle, Purdy in later rounds.

They've had success in roster building, but I don't think this is the point Ring is making.

lol.. as much as fans and the 9er Pr mouth piece local media try to have revisionist history when it comes to Aiyuk's talents.... dude was an All Pro WR for a reason, in a league of talented WRs.

The 9ers don't want him landing with a NFC team that might f**k with their playoff hopes, or who they might face in the playoffs.

If I am right and Ayiuk is all healed up and ready to play like his former self pre injury, there are 2 reasons why the 49ers have not released him:

1. They don't want him signed by an opponent this year and
2. They believe they can get draft capital for him.

Yeah, understand and agree to a degree. As a fan I didn't agree with how this has been handled from the start, same as Deebo. Hoping there isn't the same type friction as when Harbaugh was here.

Definitely doesn't seem like there is, but I think there is the potential for it due to the structure of the organization. There are different personalities involved, at least on one side of the equation, and I think that can make a real difference.

I don't think there is any way he is close to his per-injury health. It wasn't a simple ACL tear he had, his knee basically exploded. I hope he can recover fully weather he plays another snap with the Niners or not but there's a good chance he is never the same.
Who are those successful franchises and how do they stack up to the 49ers?

What is their record?

Poor Aiyuk. I know

He's been treated unfairly $2M per catch

I thought they went high low on dude and felt it was a dirty play
I don't blame FO at all for this, he was a good player and nobody could have predicted the injury. But over talking about this dude lol
Well the ultimate reality is this. Ayiuk is still a 49er and we have rights to him under his contract until we either release him or trade him.
