We beat GB 37-8.

So we should beat the Vikings by more than 29 right?

Wrong, the common opponents thing shouldn't be the be-all end-all when predicting if this game will be tight or a blowout. I don't put much weight on common opponents at all.

we should yes, simply because we have raheem mostert

This game will not be decided by the running backs. It will be decided by QB play. Fortunately for us Jimmy is clutch as hell in big moments. I think he's gonna have a big game through the air.

In jimmy we trust
Vikings DL scares me. However, we have the best playcaller in the game. Shanny will have to be creative.

Defensively, s**t down cook and make cousins beat you.
Last time we had the number 1 seed, we faced Minnesota at home in the divisional round and then Green Bay in the championship game (1997). The same could happen this year

Rollouts away from Griffin and Hunter to cut the field and give Jimmy time and they are cheap, easy yards to get the offense moving. Shanahan did the same thing against the Saints and we got 22 yards to open the game on a deep curl route to Emmanuel as well as a 75 yard TD to him off play action.
Better the Vikings than the Saints!!! Whew.

I want to see Diggs and Thielen cry and b***h to Cousins on the sidelines..."throw me the ball gwaaaah"
Thielen and rudolph are the guys we have to cheat on. Diggs has a great spin but wont hurt us within20 yards of the line. Cook cannot get an inch after contact if his life depended on it.
What makes me nervous is weatherspoon, if he starts, going against Diggs or thielen. Pass rush will need to get to cousins fast so help out secondary

All I need to know is we have ford and Kwon back and we're facing a pocket passer that ain't Brees. I'm good with those odds off two weeks rest

Yuuuuuuuuup

Vikings are very talented so I'm definitely nervous for this game but I would be for every matchup in their own way.

Vikings DL is legit, especially their edge rushers. Our OL has to play lights out and we need to get our ground game going and use screens and use their aggressiveness against them.

Cousins has a lot of weapons on offense so we definitely need to get in his face and try to rattle him. Basically do what they did to us last year at their house.

I hope the rest and guys coming back help our defense look more like it did early in the season. We know that when we play good football and avoid mistakes and mental errors we're very tough to beat.

I think Vikings were fresher for this game since they didn't have to play week 17 and going into OT and then getting one less day to recover before our game certainly plays into our favor.

We simply have to go out there and execute. We're the better team. We play clean ball and we win. But I do think unfortunately it will be another close game.

I said this to another poster last week myself who was saying resting starters is never a good thing. I can see the multiple views on it but I thought it was a good choice. If you got nothing to play for then give your starters somewhat of a self created bye week to try and get them fresh plus not risk an unnecessary injury.

Minnesota isnt built so different from us. They have a strong running game and like to get after the quarterback. Today they won in the trenches and won the game. This game is not gonna be a cakewalk. If Jimmy plays like he did last week against Seattle, I do like our chances a lot. I think having our main 4 pass rushers back together and more rested will pay dividends.

Im not worried. Shanny will call alot of quick slants and screen plays.
Honestly the niners have been given a best case scenario. If we come to play, no reason we don't reach the NFCC

Shanny knows Cousins inside out.

He knows Matt Ryan too. How did that go?

He threw for 210 yards. 134 of which went to Julio Jones. We were without Sherman. This defense will be as healthy as it can be for this game.

This is a dream scenario, Saints are done, Vikings come to us and the Seahawks go to the frozen tundra, where Pete's gum will freeze solid! We are going to handle the Vikings convincingly
