Yeah I'm not the least bit concerned about Brees and the Saints. Pocket QBs have little chance against the 49ers defense as long as they are healthy. Brees will panic and try forcing the ball to Michael Thomas like he usually does and that will play right into the 49ers hands.Originally posted by FlayvaMeister:Although I have a small amount of concern -- because on "Any Given Sunday" -- I expect the Niners will win today,
As far as the Saints are concerned, I'd imagine Sean Payton is glad his team played on Thanksgiving.
Having that game on Thursday, gives him an extra 3 days to prepare his QB/Team for the 49ers defence.
IMO, Drew Brees is taylor made for what the Niners do on that side of the ball.

It gives him an advantage in that Lamar and the offense know where he is going and the defense doesn't. A slick field is a lot harder on a defense trying to cut across to make a tackle.

Eh we will most likely give up a TD on their first drive lol we tend to come out slow on the first drive for the opponent

He was just talking mad smack on live tv. Wow! Their players seem just as cocky as their fans.
Lol Ingram is fired up for sure. He was giving it the ole mike Tyson "everyone has a plan until they get hit in the mouth! Heavyweight fight! Let's get it!" If anyone was wondering what he said
Was ingram the one that got lit up years ago against SF? I think i was Whitner that hit him and he just went limp on the ground for a hot minute.
I think that was Pierre Thomas

Dunno why this game wasn't flexed. This is more intriguing than NE vs HOU

I predict we will get punched in the face on first drive.
After that we adjust and fight back.

I wouldn't mind us taking a RB in the draft if one comes available with speed.
I wouldn't mind us taking a player like Saquon Barkley if he was to fall to us. If Shanahan can keep finding those udfa plug and play guys I am perfectly fine with that. We can't keep this d line together for very long. Bosa and Buckner are long term but everyone else we should be prepared to replace. I also think o line is a high priority come this off season.
I love Breida, but I think he is actually a player that will be gone. I viewed Coleman as the number 1 back when he came and with Breida's injury history, he's definitely 1B. He certainly can fetch some good money on the open market.
As for drafting guys higher, I'd rather an elite guard, corner, safety, or receiver. Only receiver is a glaring need right now, but if we had any of the others, our offense or defense becomes even more lethal. A back of Saquon's quality would be out of this world, but I don't see Shanahan using any sklill position player enough to justify them going that high- save for receiver. And it's only because our receivers as a whole clearly have limited the potential of this offense. Our backs have done great. Our TEs have done well. But we can improve pass pro and pass catching.

They couldn't flex it. FOX said I don't think so...also I don't think 1 PM games can be flexed to SNF

Update on RB Matt Breida: 49ers want a fully healthy Breida for New Orleans next week, so he will be out today vs Ravens. One more week for Breida.

Not playing he and Staley make sense. Next week is a conference game. This is not.
True, but one loss and it could put at Seattle at the #1 seed!!!
Weve won a lot of games without them
