So....

They both suck and should be coaching a second rate college program...poorly.

Harbaugh 2011 > Shanahan 2019

Harbaugh has more presence than kyle, kyle has that look that he knows he's gonna let u down at some point..
the window slightly opened for both roosters and closed pretty fast with all those contracts they have/had to do..
Bosa, Kittle and Warner are the core of the team, call me crazy but i don't know why you have to give all that money to buckner and armstead.

Call you crazy, you say? Fair enough. If you dont see their importance there seems no point in arguing. I consider Buckner and Armstead to be the bedrock of the D.

That's it Bhagwan, harbaw had more presence than kyle? Hmmm. You mean more presence by acting like a 4 yr old having a temper tantrum, or hissy fit? You remember where his black sweatshirt and khaki pants are almost horizontal as harbs jumped around complaining about 1 out of every 5 calls by the refs? Where harbs is over on the sideline screaming, yelling acting like a child , hand wringing, pleading with refs, and basically, showing ZERO self control....

Now i agree some of that was called for, because the "QB" Whisperer"...knew NO offense. Sure i would have been dancing around like harbaw also, if i had no idea how to call an O. I mean zero knowledge. He was gifted a terrific D, but when it came to O, he clung to Roman....because the OC at least knew some O. But since he was so inept on O, he danced around on any questionable call like a depressed old man who was both constipated and depressed.

He was goofy, he was awkward, he somehow knew no O even tho given the totally mischaracterized moniker "QB whisperer". Good grief , he was anything but. As for presence, that is just a perverted joke, Bhagwan, and makes me wonder if you actually ever even saw him. Because if you did....the last thing you would ever say about harbs was that he had presence. Unfortunately, he was an embarrassment on the sideline, almost as bad as he was totally inept at in calling the O.

More presence? Bhagwan, you need to review any 49er game under harbaw and then you need to look up the word "PRESENCE". You will find that is one quality harbaw knew nothing about nor did he have an ounce of it in him. He was a good organizer, and for 2 yrs gave us respectability....if you could ignore his juvenile goings on while on the sideline on any call he thot was against us. But presence? The man had no idea what it was and was poster boy for "that screaming fool on the sideline" . He was the first 9er coach to organize the talent that had been acquired as we continued to pick in the top 3 yr after yr. But after that his skill sets fell off rapidly....and Bhagwan....presence was not one of them.

Harbaugh couldn't challenge the right plays to save his life, refused to fix his horrific play clock issues, constantly acted like a crybaby on the sideline every time things didn't go his way, and had the most dysfunctional playcalling system ive ever heard of.

The Kaepernick offense was a gimmick that didn't age well in a league that's constantly adapting.
They would somehow both mess it up and the game would just in a tie with no SB winner.
Well, I think if Harbaugh had stayed we would have at least one more ring.
Shanahan' 2019 49ers > Harbaugh's 2011 all damn day. knew I didn't make this thread prematurely.

Loved Harbs as a coach, but he pissed off too many refs as he would yell and scream at them. If he tells the ref to "watch this defender holding my guy on the next play," like Shanny did, the ref just looks at him and say "yeah, sure Jim" and looks the other way.
it'll be a tie in the super bowl, even though they don't allow it.
I get that people might be down on Shanny after the super bowl, but it's not even close imo.

Shanahan >>>>>>>>> Harbaugh
I just like the Harbaugh era football much better. I was more invested in the players and I liked their swag. I also miss Harbs funny one liners and overall style. Kyles interviews are boring. He's way uptight and I think he's cut throat when it comes to players. Kyle kicks players when they're down, even to the media. Harbs defended his players against the media and always preached positivity.

Well....we DID have Patrick Willis....and on a separate note, Our current D struggles against running QBs...BUT I'll still go with shanahan, I feel more confident in this team

Refs stole the Superbowl from Shanny...maybe if he called the out a little more it wouldn't have gotten out of hand like it did...

I think he should have called play action with an out

Well Harbs didn't lose the "Last" SB....ever.....
Looking back at this I think you can make the case that the 2012 team would have a better chance but not the 2011 team. 2019 would smash them. Our d had some problems with mobile qb's thru out the year and would run into a red hot Kaepernick before he was figured out. And that 12 team had weapons but our d matches up well with them. Sherman has always owned Crabs and 12 doesn't have the speed that you need to exploit them.
