Correct me if I'm wrong, but you are implying Jimmy saw Ramsey and underestimated Ramsey's ability to get to that pass. I am saying he didn't see Ramsey at all. I think that had Jimmy saw a defender there (Ramsey) he never makes this throw.

Seems like Ramsey peeled off his assignment and made a great play

IMO, It's also a result of him staring down his target. He does this way too much but It's nothing that can't be fixed with more experience

it's almost like you didn't see this entire game.

That's kind of what I mean but that was one play. It was still a play that was planned. I'm talking more about the kind of play deep downfield that yosee wilson and Mahommes make when they are forced out of the pocket. The receivers now have to improvise and they often throw to an open area and let the receiver go and get it. Not a planned play, totally improvised.

dude. RE-WATCH the whole game lol!

Jimmy has scrambled out of the pocket and thrown TD's within the redzone with his legs while moving as well. Saints game? do you even watch our offense?

Mahomes throws into triple coverage and gets away with it. you ignore a ton of context and im not sure what you want or expect still

Okay. I give up. Jimmy's great and doesn't need to improve in any area. He's perfect just the way he is.

yeah I give up on you too. because your anticipation stuff are things that have been broken down already and are on highlights for christ's sake
you're criticizing s**t he's put on tape and shown as to why he is elite.

the things he has to work on are little things like living to fight another day

throwing the ball away (biggest thing)
protecting the ball when getting sacked
maybe a better feel for pressure around him
maybe holds onto the ball slightly too long at times? but hard to tell unless looking at film

All of which are part of anticipation. Every time I point out an area he can improve people act like I hate the guy. I don't. He's a good QB (not elite yet) but there are things he can do better. Most can be improved with more experience. I don't expect him to read defenses and anticipate where defenders are going to be lie a 5 or 10 year vet at this stage of his career. That only comes with experience. Like I said at the start of this, I bet he wouldn't have made that throw next year knowing the type of player Ramsey is. That's one way you learn. You make a mistake and file it away. To his credit, he recognized the blown coverage by Ramsey late in the game and hit Sanders so it kind of evened out.

After seeing your cut-up and explanation, I agree. It seems as though DC's have really gone out of their way to trick Jimmy with disguised coverages lately. I remember jonnydel breaking down one of the cards games and they were using every kind of coverage they could throw at him and he was beating them every time. This isn't a bad thing though. Jimmy is really good but the more adversity he faces the better he will become. Dude never folds. He is a straight up baller.

It's not a bad thing at all. QBs don't just go up against defenders, they go up against DCs. Wade Philips is a grizzled vet, armed with every trick in the book. On the plays that Jimmy was fooled or was hesitant, he now has it on film, and can put it in his memory bank for next time.

Agreed. Witnessing the extent at which these DC's are going to confuse him and bait him means that Jimmy is becoming a headache for these guys to gameplan against. If that doesn't give fans reason to be excited about Jimmy, I don't know what will.

Do you think Kittle wears a speedo while running a speedo concept?

I think you are confusing people with your use of the word "anticipation." Normally, when talking about "anticipation" for QBs it refers to their ability to throw to a receiver before the WR is out of their break. Jimmy has shown us many many times that he can throw to receivers before they finish their brake, some of Jimmy's best through throws of the season were when Jimmy threw before the WRs break, like that one to Sanders in the first Zona game. This is what people are referring 90% of the time when they say Jimmy has great "anticipation" and is probably why people are upset when you say Jimmy doesn't have good anticipation.

Hope that helps!
