What and who I'll be paying close attention to:
1. Defensive alignment. Predominantly wide 9 or Saleh-ball (big base, big nickel) or mix and match
2. Arby's in the passing game
3. QB progressions
4. OL depth and Garland at C
5. Slot/F...big and small slot personnel now
6. Wishnowsky (oy, oy, oy!) and the gunners. With his hang time, is Mostert a luxury now and not a necessity (Pinion)? Kick returners
7. Rock-and-Roll safeties. More than just Cover 3
8. Specific players in bold above

Just get through the game with no more injuries. I couldn't care less how they look.

Just a side note, Flannigan Fowles was moved to linebacker. I caught that in one of the recent TC articles but never considered him as having a chance to make the team so I didn't say anything. It's an interesting move. He was not an NFL caliber safety prospect. If they think he can play LB, sure, I guess, stack weight on him and make him a PS guy or something.

The way every team holds out their starters now it's really hard to tell much from these games. A lot of backups and guys that wont make the team playing a game where the schemes are fairly basic. One thing you can see is who is busting their butt and playing all out.

kpix will broadcast the niner games, pretty sure that has nothing to do with cbs
Thanks. I'm in Elk Grove (outside of Sacramento) so KPIX isn't here. But if KPIX is on cbs (for us it's KOVR), you have direct tv and are in the impacted areas, cbs is blacked out and will be until they settle the contract dispute
Actually I see what DD was saying and I agree. It's not an actual cbs game. The the cbs channel itself broadcast will be blacked out but the NFLN broadcast won't (like they did with the bills game last night)

I'm curious about this contract dispute. It must be between DTV and the local CBS affiliate because there is no disruption of service here in Oregon. They're having a dispute with the local NBC affiliate here so I can't watch anything on that channel. Not much to see there anyway. Mostly stuff I never watch.

I just saw that the odds for the game have the Niners favored by 4 1/2. They opened at 3. When you consider how many players are being held out by the Niners it makes me wonder who is going to play for Dallas if the odds have actually gone up. Maybe their cheerleaders are suiting up. I don't know who bets on pre season games but you really are taking a guess if you do,
