Be careful with Stanford players for the 49ers.

Some of them are good. Some are not. There have been some recent ones that have not worked out super well.

Sam Darnold is incomplete. He is too early and too young in his career to call anything right now. We don't know. Leinhart was not good. We can't say for certain Darnold is a bust. We don't know right now. He shows some good and some young tendencies too. Who knows at this time? It's way too early.

Jets franchise records

Highest completion percentage by a rookie quarterback in a single season (2018) — 57.7

Come on SanDiego....

You know the 49ers pick bad players from all over the country
Bill Walsh?
We missed on a pretty decent local QB from Cal a few years back too.
Solid thread

We do pick bad players from all around the country. That's a definite problem too.

How good is he really? He won 1 time ever. People talk about him like he is better than Brady. Brady won 6 times with more to come.

Is he better than what we picked? Yes he is.
I wish I could say SD is whining again like always , but he's right Niners and Stanford players don't go well together . Steer clear.

There will always be a market for smart players. Some don't pan out. Stanford has had more than it's share of standouts.

I agree. For us at least it doesn't work out. Other teams pick some good ones. Just not us.

Why start this thread after the draft? We took one Stanford player in the 6th who has almost 0 expectations.

Because of previous ones we took in prior drafts. The 6th round guy is fine. He was picked late.
They put out good skill position players, but poor trench players. Its a attitude thing, a pac12 thing, imo. You wants so mean DL OL guys, you get some kid from the Southern schools.
