Seriously, though, I like the signing, but it obviously has risks. Every signing has risks. Last year everyone was worried about the Sherman signing because of him coming off of an injury, but it was our other two big offseason moves that had no knee injury issues that ended up missing all/most of the year (Jimmy G and Jet). The future is - wait for it - not totally predictable.

He' be eating all right with that stupid overpay

You realize every FA gets overpaid right? It's the whole thing nowadays, FAs get overpaid, Trent Brown got $16.5M FRIGGING DOLLARS a year.

How come we aren't signing anyone?

Signed someone

How come we paid so much?

Good lord
Rich Eisen just said 27 million guaranteed Lynch is an idiot
Made it through 7 pages....WHEN was the injury ?

It's why the prudent thing to do is not to rush to judgement or make definitive declarations .

Bro, you can offer an opinion on this signing -- with concern or glee -- and still end up critical or elated of the signing two years from now. Saying you don't like the signing doesn't mean you want him to suck.

We all want him to make it.
After reading the details, it's basically $7m a year guaranteed which makes it allot more palatable for a starting linebacker who if healthy will be a good find. I'd like to see those missed tackles though, were injuries a part of it, was he out of position or was he covering up someone elses mistake and just couldnt square up in time but still allowed pursuit to make the tackle.

I think we can all agree its a lot of money for a guy coming off an ACL. It will be a bargain if he balls out and a massive blunder if he doesnt. I would rather have proven vets signed first and then shiny unproven toys signed second personally.

Luke warm, for now, on this deal.

Missed tackle specialist, it seems. Luckily, I can't think of a single instance where missed tackles could prove costly.
I get that it's essentially a 2 year deal but what's the point if we may not even see him at his true 100% until the 2nd year. And that's if he doesn't get injured again. What if that 2nd year, he's slightly above average in the Armstead category, then we keep him during the 3rd year and he is still not performing to the money being paid.

Yes, we need take risks but taking a risk on an injured player AND dishing out the money is not smart. Would rather pay even more and get a guy who we know will be ready to play 100%.

I've come to the realization that you can't make the webzone happy lol if Barr was signed ppl would complain, if Mosley signed ppl would complain, yes this is a risky and a lot of money but he's young and if healthy he's going to be great in this scheme..

He'd be an outstanding WILL in our scheme. I've mocked him multiple times to us, so I do have a bias.

A few areas to like:

- Legit replacement for Foster.
- Sideline to sideline speed.
- Good in coverage
- Interchangeable at MIKE and WILL.

A few areas to dislike:

- Expensive as expected; plenty of Fred Warner type LBs in this draft.
- Injury history. Hopefully this isn't a Malcolm Smith signing all over again.
- Missed tackles. Dude needs to learn to wrap up.

Such a prefect scheme fit. Kid is already running and squatting.
