Most likely because he plays a position where so far we've been good at. We have no one behind Staley Bosa and Ford. We NEED them to be out there. If you take out Bosa and Ford then we get last year's pass rush, and we all know how good that was
.Our RBs are playing well and so far our receivers have been sufficient. Deebo playing well also makes things a bit easier to stomach. If Deebo wasn't doing as good as he has we'd probably be making a bigger deal out of Hurds injury. So whatever his injury is,give him as much time as he needs to heal.
