Talent? So the guy who wasnt a starter in high school until a teammate got sick....who didnt get any offers to any big time colleges....who was a late 3rd round pick......got a jacket because of his talent? LOL.

He got to the HOF because of his work ethic, his ego and his desire to be great.

He wasn't looked at by elite entities because of his lack of polish. When he came to the NFL, he ended up working hard in terms of keeping his body well conditioned. His route running and catching was never elite.

Coming out of college, he was 6'4", 220, and ran a 4.40.

Yes, he was crazy talented.

You guys are arguing over terms that people often use interchangeably. Talent is not limited to technical prowess. It can be either or, it can be both. So you are both right and wrong lol. It was both his natural gifts physically, combined with his work ethic that helped propel him to success.
