Shut down injured players?

If you shut down a player who wants to play and believes they still can, you send a message to the rest of the team that there is no urgency to winning, or even going out on the field unless you are 100%. You just can't run a football team that way.

You play guys who are banged up if you have something to play for. The 49ers have less than nothing to play for. This is a silly argument. There should be greater urgency to avoid injuries that impact 2019 than there should be to trot out a truly beaten down Breida, just asking for him to not get back up on the next hit. This is a dumb, dumb move by this coaching staff. Also, Mostert is playing just fine. He's capable to man the position as the team bleeds out the rest of the way.

This team is greatly inexperienced and some of our issues are related to inexperience.

A lot of them need snaps and time on the field to improve. They're not going to get that sitting on the sidelines.
CJ is injured, put him on IR.
Can we sue the NFL if we put everyone on IR and they want to promote injuries by making them play?

Sue for draft picks!
