One problem with that philosophy: Lynch is making the pick.

Kyle's not a HC, he's an OC trying to outsmart everyone. So far he's had success only in outsmarting himself.
He's that kid in Poltergeist that gets tied up in his own braces. Ties himself up with his playcalling. He's trying to drive a bus, on autopilot, without looking while conducting an out of tune orachestra in the back of the bus...

except in this case it would still be a complete teardown for a new regime next year, with our qb in place!!!!!

At this point id be fine with firing either, rookie GM and coach combo hasnt worked out too well.
Kyle has struggled to win games, even against weak teams. Lynch blew the most valuable draft pick the 49ers have had in years.
