Just signed by the 49ers. I liked his game at Pitt and thought he'd be a better pro by now. He's got size and has an arm...maybe Shanahan can work with him and take advantage of his best QB traits? At the very least, he's got NFL game experience and he's someone that could step in if needed due to even more injuries.

He's here to hold CJ's hand and give him that guidance he's not getting from Nick Mullens and possibly KS as the OC has HC duties.

Man Shanahan has the worst taste in QBs. Would rather have signed Davis Webb.
